    Choosing Your Perfect Manifestation Journal

When I first decided to go on the hunt for the perfect manifestation journal, I thought I might rank them from best to worst and give you recommendations for which one you should choose.

But after flipping through one gorgeous journal after another, I quickly realized that wasn’t going to work.

You see, there isn’t really a “worst” one in the bunch.

Rather, it’s more a matter of what fits your individual needs.

Some manifestation journals focus specifically on scripting, while others utilize practices like the 369 or 55×5 methods. Some are specifically focused on helping you to manifest money, while others center around raising your vibrations through gratitude practices.

Your “perfect” manifestation journal is going to depend on a number of factors: your manifestation level, how much time you have to dedicate to journaling each day, and most importantly, what resonates most with your energy.

Below, you’ll find the 12 best manifestation journals you can purchase today. Each one focuses on a different aspect of manifesting, and they can take anywhere between 5 to 30+ minutes a day to complete.

And if you’re looking for a manifestation journal you can start using today, I definitely encourage you to check out 30 Perfect Days, a digital manifestation journal available in my online shop.

Best Planner: Law of Attraction Planner

Okay, this one cheats just a tiny bit because it’s technically called a planner, but I promise, it’s a cheat in the best way possible.

This Law of Attraction Planner has it all: journal pages, a success road map, productivity stickers, and so much more. Like a normal planner, there’s space to write your appointments, meetings, and other scheduled activities in the weekly calendar pages. I love that these pages also have a Positive Habit Maker where you can track habits such as gratitude, meditation, and any other practices want to prioritize.

There’a also monthly calendars in which you can write feel-good intentions, desired goals, and action steps, plus space to create a mind map.

I think my favorite pages, though, are the monthly reflections. This space includes lines to write down your achievements, what you learned, people who inspired you, and so much more. It also has some incredible reflection questions, such as, “Did I fully enjoy whatever I was doing this month? Was I really ‘here’ or was I just showing up? How can I be more present?

And did I also mention that there’s a foldable vision board?

I wholeheartedly recommend this planner/journal for both the beginner and experienced manifestor who wants to start creating the life of their dreams today.

Best For Manifesting Money: Money Manifesting Workbook

Unleash Your Inner Money Babe: A Money Manifesting Workbook is an awesome option if you’re looking to manifest financial abundance in your life. The book guides you through 21 days of exercises all centering around your money mindset.

Before you begin the exercises, you set a goal for the amount of money you want to manifest. (The book recommends $1,000.) By the end of the 21 days, you’ll have completely restructured your money mindset for the better, and you’ll have manifested some serious cash.

Note that this one isn’t purely a journal as there are exercises for you to complete as well. For instance, on Day 1, you clear out your wallet (and other spaces in your home/workplace) of junk/receipts, straighten out your dollar bills, and organize your money. At the end of each exercise, there are reflection questions that you can use in your journaling practice.

If you go all-in and release your doubts and hesitations, you’ll be truly amazed by the pure magic that manifests in your life when you start doing these exercises. To increase the high vibes, I recommend pairing it with a notebook that has some glitter and gold on it, like this gorgeous Do More of What Makes You Sparkle golden polka dot notebook.

Best Blank Journal: The Universe Has Your Back Journal

First thing’s first: this one is not a guided journal. But I wanted to include it on this list for a few reasons. Gabrielle Bernstein is a major name in the manifestation space, and she consistently produces incredible books, affirmation cards, and more to support others in their manifestation journeys.

The Universe Has Your Back Journal is absolutely beautiful and includes some high-vibe quotes and affirmations to support you in your manifestation journey. I love this option for the manifestor who wants to freely journal without strict guidance. You can also find some awesome manifestation guided journal prompts on Pinterest, so be sure to check there!

Furthermore, you can use this journal for the 369 method or the 55×5 manifestation method, both of which I talk about below.

I’d also highly recommend checking out Gabrielle Bernstein’s book, The Universe Has Your Back, and her beautiful The Universe Has Your Back Affirmation Cards to lovingly guide you through your manifestations.

Best Gratitude Journal: The 5-Minute Gratitude Journal

Don’t underestimate the power of a gratitude journal to jump start your manifestations. Especially not one like The 5-Minute Gratitude Journal, which packs an immense amount of power in just a few minutes a day.

Every day, you’re given uplifting gratitude prompts like, “One reason my life is already great,” and “One beautiful reason to be happy right now.” Each prompt only requires you to write a sentence or two, making this something you can do whenever it suits your schedule. Additionally, you also get an inspirational quote and a positive affirmation each day that truly helps you to cultivate feelings of joy, gratitude, peace, and trust.

The fastest and easiest way to manifest the life of your dreams is to feel grateful for what you have right now. This journal is the perfect tool to help you get started.

    Best Beginner-Friendly Journal: Manifestation Magick

Manifestation Magick is the perfect journal for anyone who is new to manifestation journaling. What I love about this journal is that it allows you to experiment with three different manifestation techniques: the 369 method, the 55×5 method, and scripting. You’ll find easy-to-follow directions for each method, and by trying out each one, you can decide which methods resonate most with your energy. You can also decide to use all of the methods, which will help you to become a master manifestor in no time.

Best For Personal Growth: The Book of Dreams Come True

The Book of Dreams Come True is the manifestation journal for the person who is willing to put in a little extra time to truly sit with their thoughts and write what’s in their heart. It’s filled with incredible journal prompts to help you release negativity and embrace joy, positivity, love, and light.

I love this journal because it truly empowers you to embrace your own creativity and imagination. This is a journal that will lead you through a journey of beautiful self-discovery, helping you to understand your goals and desires, feel gratitude for all that you have, and create the brilliant and magical life you desire.

Best 369 Journal: Three Six Nine Affirmation Journal

The Three Six Nine Affirmation Journal utilizes a manifestation method in which you write your desire in affirmation form three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times in the evening. Doing this for 33 days straight amplifies your affirmations and intentions. There’s enough space in this journal to do this for two 33-day cycles.

As a huge believer in the power of affirmations, I love that this method is so simple yet profound. Each time you repeat these affirmations, you’re rewiring your brain to truly believe what you’re affirming. This also raises your vibrations, which is the foundation of manifestation. The journal itself is simple yet beautiful, and for less than $10, it provides you with everything you need to start manifesting the life of your dreams.

Best “Short-On-Time” Journal: The Five Minute Journal

The Five Minute Journal is the perfect tool for raising your vibration on limited time. Each morning, you can write down three things you’re grateful for, three positive affirmations, and three things that would make today great. At the end of the day, you can reflect on three amazing things that happened and three things that would’ve made the day even better.

This journal is a great resource for providing inspiration and motivation and helping you to cultivate an outlook of positivity and optimism.

Best 55×5 Journal: 555 Manifestation Journal

The 55×5 manifestation method is a practice in which you write your chosen affirmation 55 times in a row (in one sitting) for five days straight. The affirmation you choose should correspond with your intended manifestation. For example, you might write the affirmation, “I am so happy and grateful that I received an extra $1,000 this week!

Now, if you’re side-eyeing me right now, I totally get it. It sounds almost too simple. But it’s one of those things that’s so simple, it actually works. The key here is to be in a high-vibrational state when you sit down to write your affirmations. It’s also important to hold onto those good feelings even after you complete the practice.

You definitely don’t need a special manifestation journal to complete this practice. But what I like about the 555 Manifestation Method Journal is that it cleanly divides the 55 lines so you don’t have to count them. For less than $10, it’s an inexpensive time saver that will carry you through your manifesting journey.

Best For Lifting Vibrations: Daily Rituals

I’ll admit, this one surprised me. At first glance, I thought it was just a book on affirmations, which is great – just not what I wanted when looking for manifestation journals.

    But I was wrong.

The Daily Rituals workbook is all about lifting your vibrations so you can attract similiar high-vibrational objects, people, and experiences into your life. Each chapter has a powerful affirmation with an explanation/definition of that affirmation. After the affirmation, there’s a powerful exercise to complete and a profound journal prompt that will help you to cultivate joy, gratitude, and unconditional self-love.

To increase the high vibes, I like to pair this workbook with this beautifully crafted The Universe Journal.

Best Goal-Oriented Journal: This Year I Will

Do not sleep on this book. It is an absolute powerhouse.

The prompts in the This Year I Will Guided Journal read as a step-by-step guide to manifestation. You start by identifying your goals and your why. Then there are visualizations for how you’ll feel when you achieve these goals and what a day in your life will look like once you have what you desire. And this is just the beginning. Once you get to the weekly reflections, you truly dive deep into a treasure chest of uplifting thoughts and good vibrations. There is so much goodness in this book, I can’t rave about it enough.

The one key difference between this journal and the others on this list is that it’s more of a weekly journal than a daily journal. Depending on your preferences, this might be a positive or a negative. Even if you’re looking for more of a daily journal, I’d definitely recommend using this journal in addition to one of the daily journals on this list. I promise – it’s worth it.

Best For Advanced Manifestors: 100-Day Guided Manifestation Journal

If you’re looking for a pure manifestation journal, it’d be hard to beat this one. The Law of Attraction 100-Day Guided Journal has everything you need in a manifestation journal. It’s a guided journal filled with powerful prompts and daily affirmations, plus directions and words of wisdom. Even on your toughest days, this journal will guide you to living as your highest and most authentic self.

The reason I recommend this one for more advanced manifestors is because some of the prompts can be a bit more complex. If you’re a beginner, I’d recommend starting with one of the others on this list and working your way up to this one.

How To Start A Manifestation Journal

One of the most common questions I receive is what the best method is for manifesting in a journal. Should you only stick to scripting? Does the 369 Method really work? What about the 55×5 Manifestation Method?

    Here’s my answer:

There is no “best” method for manifesting in a journal. Like most things, what’s truly best is whatever feels right to you. I personally love scripting, and I try to do a scripting exercise at least once a week. But if you try scripting and end up hating it? That’s completely okay! Keep trying different methods to see what feels best for you.

Below, I detail multiple manifestation methods and provide you with manifestation journal examples for each practice. You’ll get an explanation of what each method is, and then you’ll find an example for deeper clarity. If you haven’t tried any of these methods before, I definitely recommend trying all of them out at least once to see what you like best. If you like them all, you can incorporate each of them into your journaling practice. But if one or two resonate more than the others? Like I said, that’s totally okay.

I also recommend checking out this article on using manifesting oil, as I find it helpful to add a drop of oil to my journal pages for some extra manifesting magic. You might also be interesting in learning more about the pillow method, which is a practice in which you place your journal pages under your pillow for a period of about 7 to 10 days. (All of these practices have worked for me, and they continue to be a part of daily manifesting routine!)

And finally, if you want to expand your manifestation practice, I definitely encourage you to check out 30 Perfect Days, a digital manifestation journal available in my online shop. Each day, you’ll receive a unique scripting prompt that will help you to live as if you already have your dreams and desires right now. Additionally, you’ll find space for daily gratitude, acknowledging the miracles that appear in your everyday world, uplifting affirmations, and more. The journal comes with editable text fields so you can choose to either type directly into the journal (using your laptop, phone, or tablet) or print and hand write. Click here to learn more!

    Scripting Examples

Scripting is the practice of writing about your dreams and desires in story-like form, as if you already possess everything you want to manifest right now. For instance, if you want to manifest your dream job or perfect partner, you’d write about a day in your life as if you already have your dream job or perfect partner at this current moment. If you want to manifest one million dollars, you’d describe the joy and excitement of already having a million dollars in your bank account. In your script, you’ll describe your life using all of your senses: sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. You’ll also write about your internal feelings, such as the joy and gratitude you feel for having what you desire in your current reality.

The key to unlocking the magic of scripting is to truly feel the positive emotions of already having everything you desire. For instance, if your goal is to manifest a million dollars, allow yourself to feel financially prosperous now. Feel abundant. Feel free. Feel joyful. Feel sincere gratitude. Allow yourself to feel it all. Carry these positive emotions with you throughout the day.

Below is a scripting example for your manifestation journal. This example is written from the perspective of someone imagining that they have their dream life now. They’re writing about a day in their dream life as if they’re looking back on their day, writing about all the magic they experienced.

    Dear Universe,

Today was truly an extraordinary day. When I woke up, I was greeted with warm rays of sunshine brushing against my cheeks. It felt like a gentle, loving message from the Universe welcoming me to this bright new day. After a restful night of sleep, I felt energized and ready to greet the day ahead. Careful not to wake up my love sleeping next to me, I awoke and headed to the kitchen, where a fresh pot of coffee waited for me. I spent the first hour of my morning journaling and meditating. Then, I went for a beautiful walk in the foothills behind my home. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more calm and at peace. I knew in every cell of my body that everything was working out perfectly for me, just as it always does.

I spent my day doing what I love. I connected with beautiful souls and offered meaningful help to others. I’m still in awe that this life is really mine. An old client of mine sent me an email thanking me for making such a positive difference in her life. She is now living the life she loves and helping others do the same. I can’t think of anything in the world more incredible than this feeling. I can see now how living the life of my dreams is the most selfless thing I can do for this world. When I spread my light, another person feels empowered to spread theirs, and then another spreads theirs, and this continues. I am so grateful I get to be part of this beautiful experience.

And another miracle: I received an unexpected check for more money than I’ve ever made in a single day! I still can’t believe it. The money came to me in the energy of love, bringing harm to no one. I feel so happy and grateful to know that every time I spend money in the energy of love, I receive even more in return. I used to believe that money was limited, but now I know that money is abundant, and there is more than enough to go around for all of us.

I spent the evening with my love. We cooked dinner together (taco night!) and watched TV together snuggled up on the couch. As my love held me, I’ve never felt safer or more treasured, cherished, and adored. Thank you, Universe, for blessing me with unconditional love. I am so grateful for the miracles that brought us together, and I will never take a second of this life for granted.

Today was a miracle. Just like yesterday was; just like tomorrow will be. I feel so grateful to live this life of mine. I am receiving more and more every day, and life just keeps getting better.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

    55×5 Manifestation Method Examples

To practice the 55×5 Manifestation Method, choose an affirmation, then write down your chosen affirmation 55 times in a row for 5 days straight. The affirmation you use should align with the feelings of already having your desires. (So think about what you want to manifest, then write an affirmation declaring your gratitude and excitement for already having this thing.)

For example, if you want to manifest $1,000 this week, you might write, “I am so happy and grateful for the extra $1,000 I received this week!”

Here are a few more examples:

    • I am so grateful that I’m going on a date with the partner of my dreams this Friday!
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I can’t believe I’m going on my dream vacation to Hawaii!
    • I feel joyful and thankful that I’m driving my dream car!
    • My heart is filled with gratitude for the 5 new clients I signed this week.

To illustrate how this works, let’s use the affirmation, “I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.” On Day 1, grab a journal or notebook and write this affirmation 55 times in a row. Don’t take any breaks while you’re writing; you want to complete this in one sitting. As you write, let the positive feelings of the words wash over you. On Day 2, you’re going to take your journal or notebook out again, and you’ll write this same affirmation 55 times that day. Days 3, 4, and 5, same thing.

Below, I’ve included an example of how this might look in your manifestation journal for Day 1. This is simply one affirmation written 55 times. Days 2, 3, 4, and 5 will look identical to this example.

To learn more about the 55×5 Manifestation Method, click here. And if you want to get started on this practice today, I’ve created a simple 55×5 Manifestation Worksheet you can either print out or type into directly on your phone, tablet, or computer.

    369 Method Examples

To practice the 369 Method, choose an affirmation just like what you’d use for the 55×5 Manifestation Method (above). Write down your affirmation 3 times in the morning, 6 times in the afternoon, and 9 times in the evening. Do this for 21 days in a row. As you write it down, maintain high vibrations and make sure to be consistent. I also find it helpful to say my affirmation aloud throughout the day.

To show you a manifestation journal example for the 369 Method, I’m going to use the exact same affirmation we used above. This is how your affirmation will look Day 1, and then you’ll repeat this exact same process on the following days.

    Morning
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    Afternoon
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.

    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.
    • I am so grateful to be a successful entrepreneur making $20,000 a month.

    General Manifestation Journal Examples

Your manifestation journal doesn’t have to be dedicated to one specific manifestation practice, such as scripting or the 369 Method. For instance, gratitude and positive affirmations are the foundation of a successful manifestation routine and can be included in your daily journaling practice.

Here are some examples of different types of components you can include in your manifestation journal:

    • Positive Affirmations: One to three positive affirmations to lift your vibration
    • Daily Gratitude: One to three things you feel grateful for today
    • Signs & Synchronicities: Signs and synchronicities you’ve experienced recently
    • Daily Intention: One powerful intention for the day
    • Today, I Will Manifest: One small thing you’ll manifest today, such as a joyful conversation, a small amount of money, or a moment of peace.

Each day, you can choose to incorporate any of these elements into your manifestation journal. To help you get started, you can click here to get your free manifestation journal template. Below, you’ll find a manifestation journal example using these components. (But feel free to change it up a bit to best fit your needs! You can also use these in conjunction with a scripting entry or one of the other journaling methods above.)

    Positive Affirmation
    • I have the power to create the life I desire.
    • I am tuned into passion, positivity, and prosperity.
    • I am aligned with the energy of pure abundance.
    Daily Gratitude
    • My home for keeping me safe and warm
    • An abundance of food and water for nourishment
    • A working laptop to complete all of my tasks
    Signs & Synchronicities
    • The penny I found on the ground yesterday felt like a loving note from the Universe letting me know abundance is on its way
    • I’ve seen 444 all over lately! This reminds me that I’m always supported by the Universe.
    Daily Intention
    • Today, I will embody the energy of pure abundance in all that I do.

How To Use A Manifestation Journal Template

Manifestation journals vary greatly in what they offer. Some journals are solely dedicated to a single manifestation method, like the 55×5 Manifestation Method or 369 Method, while others offer a broader range of journal prompts and activities.

If you want to create your own manifesting journal but aren’t sure where to start, a manifestation journal template is a great option, as it offers you a repeatable model you can use in your manifesting practice. Templates are also versatile, so you can write on the template itself, or you can use the template as a guide as you write in your own blank notebook or journal.

At the bottom of this article, you’ll find a manifestation journal template you can download today to guide you in your manifesting practice. This template is completely free for your personal use. You’re also free to share it on your own website or social media; I just ask that you link back to my website/social media accounts as well. I’m also not requiring you to subscribe to my newsletter to get the template (I know that can get annoying), but I definitely do encourage you to subscribe, as I send every single freebie I create (like this template) to my newsletter subscribers.

To learn more about how to use this manifestation journal template, I’ve provided more directions below. If you have your own blank notebook, feel free to use this template to start and modify it to best suit you. (And if you do end up using it, I’d love to see your creations, so be sure to share and tag me on social media so I can cheer you on!)

And if you want to expand your manifestation practice, I definitely encourage you to check out 30 Perfect Days, a digital manifestation journal available in my online shop. Manifestation Journal Template Components

    Scripting

The first page of the manifestation journal template is entirely dedicated to scripting. Scripting is the practice of writing about your dreams and desires in story-like form, as if you already possess everything you want to manifest. For instance, let’s say you want to manifest your dream job. In your script, you could write about a day in this dream job as if you already have it right now. You might also write as your future self, looking back on the first day you got this job and what an amazing experience it was. Past or present tense are good; just don’t write in future tense. As you write, it’s not “One day, I will have this job.” It’s, “I am so happy and grateful to have this job right now!”

If you don’t have time to write an entire script, that’s totally fine. You can skip this page and go straight to the second page if you’d like. See if you can incorporate scripting into your journaling practice on days you have an extra 10 to 15 minutes to spare.

And if you want to learn more about scripting, plus get a free scripting template, check out this article. Gratitude

If you want to live the life of your dreams, express gratitude for the life you have right now. When you express sincere appreciation for all that you have, you vibrate at the frequency of love and abundance. Instead of focusing on lack and scarcity, you’re viewing your life from a perspective of wealth and prosperity. This opens you up to receiving even more incredible people, resources, things, and experiences to be grateful for. You might think of it like this: every time you express gratitude for something you have, you’re telling the Universe, “More of this please.” So when you express thankfulness for the love you already have in your life, you’re saying, “More love please.” Gratitude and love are the highest vibrations, and by expressing sincere gratitude each day, you’re opening yourself up to receiving more than you can ever dream of.

Your manifestation journal template includes space to express daily gratitude and appreciation. In your journal, write down one to three things you feel grateful for each day. As you write down these things, be sure to truly feel the full depth of your gratitude within every cell of your being.

    Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are encouraging, uplifting statements designed to boost your confidence and self-belief. The key to using affirmations is to know that the affirmation doesn’t actually start with the words you’re affirming; it starts with the feeling you possess deep within. So when you say, “I am worthy,” it’s not simply about saying that you’re worthy; it’s about believing you’re worthy and owning every aspect of your worthiness.

In your journal, write down one to three uplifting affirmations that align with the positive emotions of what you want to manifest. For instance, if you want to manifest success, write down affirmations about how you’re already successful and how you’re absolutely worthy of infinite success. Feel these words deep within. If you need help with coming up with affirmations that feel good to you, I have thousands of affirmations throughout this site that you can explore here.

And here are some manifestation and Law of Attraction affirmations to help you get started:

One Small Step I Will Take Today

Each day, you have the opportunity to take steps toward manifesting your dreams. The most profound steps are ones that are inspired by your deep inner knowing; they should feel good and right to you, even if some of them may scare you a little. This means taking inspired action based on what your intuition is telling you.

Remember that every small step you take makes a big difference in your overall journey.

If your small step is simply sending an email, buying a book, or registering for a class, it may not feel like a big thing, but it’s actually a huge step forward in your manifestation journey. Your small step can even be something as simple as writing down a list of goals or creating a vision board. Don’t put pressure on yourself to do “really big” things all the time. Remember that if you take one small step each day for the next month, you’ll be 30 steps ahead of where you are today.

In your manifestation journal template, you’ll find space to write down one small step you’ll take to manifest your dreams. Write down this small step with courage, clarity, and confidence. (And also remember, when you’re unsure where to go next, sometimes the best step is to pause, sink into silence, and surrender. Allow the Universe to give you what you need.)

How Will I Align With My Highest Self Today?

Your highest self is the part of you that is untouched by external circumstances. This is the real and true you: the part of you that is eternal and infinite. This part of you is also free of fears, worries, and limiting beliefs. When you step back and close your eyes to imagine your highest self, who do you see? How does your highest self look? How do they talk to other people? How do they interact with the world? Do they choose faith over fear? Do they believe they are worthy and deserving of manifesting their dreams?

Each day, you have the opportunity to align with your highest self. Here are some examples of how you might do this:

    • Meet your highest self in meditation
    • Embody your highest self in how you interact with friends and strangers throughout the day
    • Set a morning routine that aligns with how your highest self would start the day
    • Recite positive affirmations that align with how your highest self would think and feel
    • Practice being in the present moment, as your highest self would be (as opposed to worrying about the past or future)
    • Give love and compassion freely, as your highest self would.

    Other Notes

Here, you have the opportunity to write down anything else that feels right to you today. You might set a daily intention, write down one small thing you’ll manifest today (i.e. you might manifest a joyful moment or a good conversation with a friend), or write about your daily miracles. Whatever you write here, just make sure it feels good and aligns with your desired manifestations.

    Journaling

I had been journaling for years before I learned about manifestation and the Law of Attraction. My journaling practice began with reading Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way and learning about the journaling technique called Morning Pages, which is a practice that allows you to write three stream-of-consciousness journal pages every morning, releasing perfection and allowing your inner flow to take you wherever it may go. I used this technique for several years and still often use it in my morning journaling.

Later on, I discovered journal prompts, and I found that they offered an opportunity to get in touch with my inner self and explore sides of myself I hadn’t yet uncovered. I also began incorporating affirmations in my journaling, and I’ve often spent many journal pages affirming my worthiness and choosing to view my life from a perspective of gratitude and positivity.

Intentional manifestation journaling was one of the last journaling methods I discovered, but it has remained a prominent part of my daily practice ever since. From scripting to the 5 x 55 method to affirmations and more (all of which I discuss below), it is rare that I don’t incorporate some type of manifestation practice into my morning routine.

(And while my journaling has grown and evolved since I first started, one thing that hasn’t changed is that I always release self-criticism and the desire for perfection while I journal. No matter what, I allow my morning journaling to be imperfect and sometimes a little messy, just like me.)

Before we move forward with how to manifest in a journal, let’s take a step back and talk about manifestation itself. What exactly is manifestation?

    What is Manifestation?

Manifestation is the practice of visualizing your dreams and desires and vibrating at the frequency of your desires as if they’ve already come true. Because like attracts like, when you vibrate at the frequency of your desires, you’re attracting the very thing you desire to manifest in your current reality.

For instance, if you vibrate at the frequency of joy, you attract more joyful experiences to unfold in your daily life. If you vibrate at the frequency of love, you become a magnet for love in all forms. And if you vibrate at the frequency of gratitude and appreciation, you attract more positive people, things, resources, and experiences to be grateful for.

Now, I should note that the definition I’ve given above describes conscious manifestation. Because the truth is, we manifest all kinds of things into our daily lives, whether it’s conscious or not. And often, we may unconsciously manifest things we don’t actually want because our minds are so preoccupied with doubts, worries, and fears.

Here’s an example: In October 2019, my partner and I took a week-long vacation in Moab, Utah, the mountain biking capital of the United States. He’s an experienced mountain biker. Me? Not so much. Still, I had been training during the weeks leading up to the trip, so I felt like I could at least handle the beginner trails.

At the same time, I had also started a new job. Now, if you know anything about healthcare in the United States, you know it can be, well, complicated. My health insurance from the job I had left ended in September, and I had to be in my new job for 90 days before receiving health insurance. That meant I’d be going 3 months without any coverage.

Normally, this wouldn’t be an issue for me. I’m one of those really obnoxious people who boasts that I never get sick. I’ve never broken a bone, and in fact, the last time I had been in the hospital was when I was eleven . . . due to a biking accident.

Still, all I had to do during those 90 days was continue to do what I always did: not go to the hospital.

But once I no longer had health insurance, something changed in my brain. I became obsessed with the fact that I didn’t have health insurance. I worried all the time. And knowing I was about to go on a mountain biking trip? That was the last thing I should be doing, I thought. On the drive into Moab, I remember staring at the steep, red rocks that painted the landscape and envisioning myself falling down them. Not exactly the types of visions you want to have to start off a vacation.

You can probably guess where I’m going from here. Our first full day in Moab, we’d been riding for hours, and we were almost done when I crashed going down, flipped over my bike, and ended up in the hospital for the first time since I was eleven.

So as you can see, we truly are manifesting all the time, whether we realize it or not. But there’s magic in this realization, because once you become aware of your power to create your own life, you can begin to manifest exactly the life you want: the life of your dreams.

How to Manifest in a Journal

Journaling is one of my favorite manifestation techniques because it allows me to be intentional with what exactly I want to manifest. While it’s easy to fall back into the mode of unconscious manifestation that I wrote about above, journaling allows you get clear about what you want as well as to lift yourself into the vibration of your dreams and desires. I especially like to journal in the morning as I find this allows me to set the foundation for a positive day. There’s something to be said for journaling in the evening, too, though, as it allows you to go to sleep with positive thoughts and feelings circulating through your subconscious brain.

Below, I list several different types of methods for manifesting using a journal, and I also provide you with instructions on how to get started. I like to incorporate all of these different practices into my daily journaling, and I find it helps to switch it up from time to time!

While these practices are all different, the following suggestions apply to all:

    • Choose compassion over judgment and authenticity over perfection.
    • Don’t try to edit as you write. Just allow whatever you write to be, even if it’s seemingly imperfect.
    • View this as essential self-care time, and try to minimize distractions if possible.
    • Don’t let the words solely live on the paper. Feel all of the positive emotions of what you want to manifest, and carry these high vibrations with you throughout your day.

Read below for powerful practices to manifest anything you want using nothing but a pen, paper, and your own thoughts.

    Scripting

Scripting is one of my favorite manifestation techniques as it allows you to truly embrace your imagination, align with your dreams, and get clear about your intentions.

    So what exactly is scripting?

Scripting is the act of writing your dreams and desires in a story-like form. It’s similar to visualization, except instead of solely envisioning your dreams in your mind’s eye, you’re using pen and paper to write down what exactly it is that you want to manifest.

The key to making scripting work is to treat it like you’re writing a story in that you only write in past and present tense, as if every single one of your dreams is happening or has already happened.

    Here’s an example:

I wake up in a soft bed surrounded by plush pillows and cuddled with the love of my life and our sweet cat burrowed between us. As the sun rises, so does my energy. I feel excited to experience the magic and wonder of this day! I step onto the hardwood floors and tiptoe out the door, carefully shutting the door behind me. As I walk through the house to the kitchen, I feel a sense of awe and gratitude for this beautiful home I get to call my own. It is exactly the home of my dreams: two-story with hardwood floors and giant windows that allow the sunshine to stream through the glass. I take a moment to stand in front of the sliding glass door by the dining room, and I take in the beautiful sights just outside our home.

In this script, the writer is detailing a typical day in her dream life. As you can see, it’s all written in present tense. Rather than starting with, “In my dream life, I will wake up in a . . .” the writer starts as if this moment is in the here and now.

And that’s the key to scripting: bringing the future into the present moment. Instead of a distant dream, your desires belong in this moment right now. Everything becomes tangible and real in your current experience.

Here are a few more secrets to scripting:

    • Don’t just write; feel. As you write about the feelings of love, peace, freedom, and abundance, don’t allow the words to solely exist on the paper; allow them to exist right now in this present moment within you. If you write about a joyful moment, let a smile gently tug at your lips. Feel that joy right now deep within. Feel freedom now. Feel peaceful now. Feel abundant now. Vibrate at the frequency of all your dreams and desires. When you do this, you won’t have to chase the life of your dreams, because all of your desires will be attracted to you.
    • Express gratitude. Gratitude and love are the highest vibrations you can emit. When you express gratitude now as if your dreams have already come true, you’re not only vibrating at a higher frequency, but you’re showing the universe that you have trust and faith that all your beautiful dreams are on their way.
    • Write what feels authentic to you. Do you prefer a small, cozy home over a giant mansion? Would you prefer a life of traveling over staying in one place? Are you dreams filled with quiet moments of peace and tranquility? Whatever you write, make sure it feels authentic and real to you. Just because someone else wants to live in a big mansion overlooking the city doesn’t mean that’s right for you. And if your dreams seem kind of out there and don’t make sense to others, that’s okay! The only thing that matters is that they feel right to you.

    Steps to Begin Scripting

    1. Find a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. I think 15 – 20 minutes works well for scripting, but you can take more or less time depending on what works best for you. I like to have a special notebook or journal on-hand for this practice.
    2. Before you start, take a moment to connect with your breath. Take a deep inhale and a long, soulful exhale. Connect with your inner self. What are your dreams? What kind of life do you envision for yourself? What feels true and real to you?
    3. Put pen (or pencil) to paper and begin writing. Envision that you are living a day in your dream life. Write all the details of this day as if it’s happening right now. Remember to use the present tense!
    4. As you write, allow yourself to feel the positive emotions connected to your words and desires. What’s the primary emotions you feel during this ideal day? Joyful? Peaceful? Loving? Abundant? Truly embrace these feelings as you visualize and write.
    5. Express gratitude! Show appreciation for this beautiful life you’ve created. Express gratitude to the universe for supporting you and loving you in your journey. Let the feelings of true appreciation vibrate within.
    6. However you choose to end your scripting entry, carry the positivity with you even after you close your notebook. Let a soft smile lift your lips. Continue to express gratitude throughout your day. Walk through your day feeling the same feelings you felt in your visualization. Know that you are a magnet for all of your dreams and desires.

    Scripting Prompts

    1. Write about a day in your dream life. Where do you wake up? How do you feel as you greet the day? What do you do on this day? Who are you surrounded by? Be as detailed as possible, and remember to express gratitude for all that you have.
    2. Write about your dream vacation. Where are you? Who are you with? What do you do? Write as though you are on this vacation right now, and use all of your senses to describe your experiences.
    3. Write about the phone call that changes your life for the better. Who is on the other end? What do they say? How do you feel? Who do you tell the good news to? How do you celebrate? What does this phone call mean to you, and what does it mean for your future?
    4. Write about the ideal day in your dream job. Where do you work? What do you do during the day? How do you interact with others? Why is this job so perfect for you?
    5. Write about your dream date. Describe the person you’re going out on a date with. Where do you go? What do you do? How’s the conversation between you? How do you feel? Describe what you feel when you look into this person’s eyes and the love that flows within you. Open your heart and let this be the beginning (or continuation) of a beautiful love story.

    5 x 55 Method

This another popular way to manifest in a journal and is completely different from the scripting method.

While scripting involves creating the story of your dream life, the 5 x 55 method focuses on just one sentence.

One sentence written a total of 275 times.

Let’s break it down a little further:

The 5 x 55 method is a manifesting practice in which you narrow down what you wish to manifest to a single sentence or affirmation. Like scripting, this sentence is written in present tense, as if your desire has already occurred. And also like scripting, this method often involves expressing gratitude for your dreams and desires coming true.

Once you have that sentence, you will write that sentence 55 times for 5 days straight.

So Day 1, you write your sentence in a journal or notebook 55 times. Day 2, you write that same sentence 55 times again. Day 3, same thing. And Day 4 and Day 5, also the same.

Here are some examples of the types of sentences you might write for this practice:

    • “I am so grateful for the extra $500 I received this week!”
    • “My heart is filled with so much joy and gratitude for the job offer that fell on my lap this week.”
    • “I feel so happy and grateful for the synchronicities that aligned and brought me together with the love of my life.”

The key with this practice is to truly feel the emotions you’re expressing in your chosen affirmation. So if your affirmation expresses feelings of joy and abundance, feel those emotions as you’re writing your sentence. Feel deep appreciation for this dream coming true in your reality.

Another important and often overlooked component of this practice is to carry these feelings within you throughout your day. So if you desire to manifest financial abundance, carry the feelings of abundance and prosperity with you as you walk through this day. You don’t want to simply write down your affirmation 55 times and then forget about it until tomorrow. You want to become the very embodiment of your dreams.

Steps to Complete the 5 x 55 Method

    1. Choose an affirmation that encompasses what you wish to manifest into your reality. Be specific. For instance, if you wish to manifest money, choose a dollar amount (i.e. $500 or $1,000) that you want to manifest. Be sure to express positive emotions and gratitude in your affirmation.
    2. Find a quiet spot where you can sit uninterrupted for 15 to 20 minutes. If you’re using a notebook, you may want to number the lines beforehand or mark the 55th line so you’ll know when to stop.
    3. Begin writing your affirmation 55 times. As you do this, feel the positive emotions you associate with this manifestation. Feel gratitude and appreciation for this manifestation coming true.
    4. When you’re done, continue throughout your day as if your dreams have all come true! Continue to vibrate at a high frequency.
    5. Repeat this practice for five days straight. Then let it go, feeling at peace knowing your manifestation is already coming true.

    Journal Prompts

Not sure what to write about? Turn to journal prompts for guidance! A journal prompt is a question or statement designed to help you get in touch with your inner self. Usually, you’ll respond to the prompt in a long-form journal entry.

I love journal prompts because they often inspire thoughts and ideas I likely wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. For manifestation purposes, journal prompts are often designed to help you align with your intentions, lift your vibrations, express gratitude, and feel all of the positive emotions of your desired manifestation.

To start with journal prompts, you can check out my post, 10 Journal Prompts to Manifest Your Dream Life.

I’ve also linked to a few more websites with high-vibe manifestation journal prompts below!

Steps to Using Journal Prompts for Manifestation

    1. Find a list of manifestation journal prompts that resonate with you. Google and Pinterest will be your best friends here! You can also check out my blog post with journal prompts I linked to above as well as the ones I linked to below. When you find some you want to use, I’d recommend saving them somewhere they’ll be easily accessible when it comes time to journal.
    2. Find a quiet, safe spot where you can journal for fifteen to twenty minutes without distractions. You may choose to take more or less time depending on your preferences.
    3. Choose the journal prompt you want to work with. Now, all you have to do is answer the prompt! Know that there’s no right or wrong way to respond to the journal prompt as long as it feels authentic and true for you. Also, if you find yourself straying from the prompt, that’s okay! You’re not being graded here. If you find that your inner flow is taking you elsewhere, follow it and see where it leads. Finally, set aside self-criticism and self-judgment. No matter what, choose to have compassion and love for yourself during this process.

Here are a few more journal prompts to help you get started!

    Gratitude

As I mentioned above, gratitude and love are the highest vibrations you can emit. Your journaling doesn’t have to be specifically manifestation-focused in order to attract your dreams and desires. Instead, you can focus on gratitude, knowing that the more you feel grateful for all that you have, the more wonderful things you attract into your reality to be grateful for.

Gratitude journaling can take many different forms. You might choose to have a separate journal dedicated to listing things you feel grateful for every morning. You can also free-write journal entries in which you express gratitude throughout your writing.

Again, journal prompts can be super helpful to help you get started. For inspiration, you can check out my post, 53 Gratitude Journal Prompts to Cultivate Joy Within.

I won’t list steps here because gratitude journaling can take many different forms, but like other practices, make sure to dedicate enough time to sitting quietly somewhere you won’t be distracted. And again, let yourself feel the positive emotions of what you’re writing. Express sincere appreciation for all that you have and all that’s coming.

Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be grateful. When you choose to focus on appreciation for all that you have rather than focusing on scarcity and all that’s seemingly going wrong, you invite more beautiful and positive moments into your daily experience.

    Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are present-tense statements that are designed to uplift and encourage while boosting self-belief and supporting your overall wellbeing.

They’re also a powerful tool in manifestation.

Why? Because the quickest way to manifest anything into your life is to feel the emotions of your desired manifestation right now.

Positive affirmations are near-instant vibration raisers. They allow you to feel the positive emotions of your dreams and desires right now in your present-day experience.

So how do you use positive affirmations to manifest in a journal?

Decide what it is that you want to manifest. Are you looking to manifest a loving relationship or financial prosperity? Whatever it is that you want to attract, connect with the feeling associated with that manifestation. If you’re looking to manifest love, choose affirmations that connect with the feeling of being unconditionally loved, exactly as you are. If you want to manifest money, choose affirmations that are connected with feelings of freedom and abundance.

As you sit down to write, focus not just on the words of the affirmations but on the feelings they inspire. Like a gratitude journal, an affirmation journal can take many forms. You may choose to have a separate journal purely dedicated to positive affirmations. (I actually have two journals. In one, I free-write for about twenty minutes every morning. In the other, I write three positive affirmations and three things I’m grateful for.)

You can also dedicate an entire journal entry solely to positive affirmations. I’ve written positive affirmations for twenty to thirty minutes straight, and when I’m done, I always feel strong, inspired, and empowered.

If you want, you can also throw in some Future Pacing Affirmations in there. A Future Pacing Affirmation is similar to the type of sentence you created in the 5 x 55 method: it’s an expression of gratitude for your dreams and desires already coming true. Here are some examples:

    • I am a successful entrepreneur making $10,000 a month. Clients are lining up to work with me, and I am continuing to achieve more success every single day.
    • I am married to the love of my life. We live a beautiful, quiet life in the countryside with acres of land and a house large enough to grow our family. My partner loves, protects, and supports me unconditionally. I feel so grateful and lucky every single day to live this life.
    • I am a thriving college graduate. I graduated at the top of my class, and now companies are fighting with each other to hire me. I’m getting six-figure offers and that number is only going up!

    Getting Started With Journaling

Journaling is one of the most powerful and underrated tools we have in our toolkit to create the lives of our dreams. Admittedly, I’ve even overlooked it in previous blog posts, even though I write in my journal every single morning. Historically, I’ve gravitated toward thirty minutes of free writing, but recently, I’ve discovered that using journal prompts has helped me to reframe my perspective in ways that I hadn’t on my own. These prompts have also led me to inspired ideas and new areas of self-discovery.

When you decide to step into your power and manifest your dream life, journaling isn’t a requirement by any means. However, it’s an incredible tool that will add value to your journey as well as solidify your intentions. I use techniques such as visualization and affirmations in meditation and my daily life, but there’s something concrete and tangible about describing these visualizations and writing out my affirmations on a piece of lined notebook paper.

    When Should You Journal?

I like to journal first thing in the morning as I sip my first cup of coffee of the day, as I find it allows me to start my day on the right foot and gets me in the frame of mind I want to be in. However, you can journal anytime it feels right for you. Sometimes, we have to fit it in when we can, and there can also be something rewarding about closing your night with a journal entry and feeling those positive vibes before you drift off to sleep.

(Side Note: My journaling practice started with learning about Julia Cameron’s “Morning Pages” technique from her acclaimed book, The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. I can’t overstate how much this book changed my life. While this method doesn’t use prompts, it was super helpful in helping me to establish journaling as a habit.)

Do You Need Any Special Tools?

    Definitely not!

I like to keep it simple, so I use these simple yet elegant Mead notebooks for much of my freehand, non-guided journaling.

Now, if you want to take it a step further, there are some really awesome manifesting journals you can purchase that will provide you with daily quotes, guidance, and prompts as you walk forward on your manifesting journey. I absolutely love Steven Canyon’s Law of Attraction 100-Day Guided Manifestation Journal for this purpose. For one, the workbook is absolutely beautiful. You can write in it, but it’s so pretty, you almost don’t want to! Secondly (and more importantly), it’s filled with thought-provoking, high-vibe questions along with uplifting affirmations. This one’s an absolute must for creating success in your manifesting journey.

    Manifestation Journal Prompts

Below are 10 powerful journal prompts for manifestation, designed to help you create the beautiful, joyful, and abundant life of your dreams. These journal prompts for manifestation can be completed in any order you want, and you can even choose the ones you like best to do multiple times. (I do the visualizations weekly!)

Journal Prompt: Visualization of Your Dream Life

Write the details of a full day in your dream life. Use the present tense. (“I am . . . “; “I wear . . .”; “As I walk through my home, I notice . . .”) Where do you wake up? Who are you with? What does your morning routine look like? Describe the details of your home. Where is it located? What do you do during your day? What do you wear? Where do you go during the day? If you work, what kind of job do you have? What are the predominant emotions you feel throughout the day? Use all your senses; describe what you see, hear, smell, taste, and touch. How do you feel when you go to sleep? What are your last thoughts before falling into a peaceful slumber?

Be as detailed as possible, and remember to keep an open mind to any and all possibilities. This is your dream life. You’re the creator. Let your inner knowing guide you through your vision.

Why It Works: The first step of manifesting is to set an intention. In order to create the life of your dreams, you first have to get clear about what you want. In manifestation, you don’t need to know how you’re going to achieve your dream. Rather, you just need to know what it is that you want. This practice will help you to gain a clearer vision of exactly what your dream life looks like. It will also help you to feel all of the positive vibrations of having your dreams in the present moment, allowing you to become a magnet for your desires.

    Journal Prompt: Gratitude

Write down everything you’re grateful for today. There is nothing too small or too offbeat to write about. If you wish, you can use the prompt, “I am grateful for ___ because _____” to discuss each item in detail. If you get stuck, consider writing about different people in your life. You can also discuss various objects in your home or moments of your life that you’re grateful for. Nothing’s off limits here. You can even discuss adversity and hardships that brought you growth.

Why It Works: Gratitude is the foundation for all abundance. When I began consciously cultivating a daily gratitude practice and shifted my default perspective from one of lack to one of appreciation for all that I have, my life completely transformed. All of the things I’d written on my vision board that once seemed so far away were suddenly in my grasp. The quickest and easiest (and most joyful) way to get everything you want is to just love and appreciate all that you already have. As Rumi wrote, “Wear gratitude like a cloak and it will feed every corner of your life.” For more on gratitude, check out 53 gratitude journal prompts to cultivate joy and love here.

    Journal Prompt: Body Appreciation

Write down a list of everything you’re grateful for about your body. Consider each body part: each muscle, limb, organ, and system that keeps you going throughout your life. If you’d like, you can choose a few body parts to write several sentences on (such as the mouth that shows your radiant smile and allows you to taste yummy food). Here are some examples:

“I am grateful for my eyes because they allow me to _________.”

“I am grateful for my heart because it is __________.”

“Today, I really appreciate my legs because they __________.”

Why It Works: Same as #2, but this time, we’re focusing solely on your body. Why? Because your body is your home. It’s what you live in every single day. It’s an incredible gift to have these bodies. To have working lungs and a beating heart. Yet, so many of us tear our bodies apart. Whether or not your intended manifestation relates to your body, cultivating a deep love and appreciation for your body (and treating it like an ally, not an enemy) will only serve to open up space for your manifestations to happen faster. It’s time to stop fighting against yourself and start celebrating every single worthy and loved part of you. Here are 42 body-positive affirmations to help you get started!

Journal Prompt: Speak to Your Younger Self

Imagine that the five-year-old you is standing in front of you, and in your mind’s eye, envision looking into the eyes of your younger self. Now write positive affirmations to this younger version of you as if you’re speaking directly to them. Tell them how worthy, deserving, and loved they are. Deliver them positive and supportive messages. Speak with wholehearted love, kindness, and compassion. This entire journal entry is dedicated to affirming your worthiness.

Why It Works: In order to manifest your desires, you have to truly believe in yourself. And most importantly, you must believe that you are worthy and deserving of your dreams. I chose to have you speak to your younger self because it allows you to let down your guard. Sometimes, we have a hard time telling ourselves that we deserve joy, but when you look into the eyes of your childhood self, it becomes easier. If you’d rather look into your own eyes as an adult, or choose a different age, please do whatever feels best for you! For extra inspiration, check out my post, 65 Positive Affirmations for Manifestation.

    Journal Prompt: Passion and Purpose

What drives you? What lights up your heart? Where are you happiest? What activities make you feel most joyful and alive? Write about the things that you feel passionate about. These can be dreams, causes, groups of people, or important messages you want the whole world to know. Write with passion and conviction. What’s important to you? Only you know what makes your soul feel alive. There’s no right or wrong answer. As you write about your passions and dreams, consider ways you might be able to combine these different passions into a career or pastime that will make your heart soar.

Why It Works: You have a unique set of skills and passions that make you you. Do you love to write? Are you passionate about fitness? Does it light up your soul to help others? When you write about your passions, you open yourself up to inspired ideas. For instance, writing is one of my passions. I spent years writing fiction stories, and while I enjoyed it, there was always something missing. Finally, I asked myself, what else am I passionate about? The things that make my soul light up are supporting other women and helping people to reach their dreams (and to gently and compassionately guide them so they know they’re worthy of their dreams). When I combined writing with these passions, finally, magic happened.

    Journal Prompt: New Perspectives

Write in detail about your day yesterday (or a recent day that you can remember vividly). Who did you see and speak to? What did you eat? Did you drive anywhere? What movies, TV shows, or sports events did you watch? What moments brought you joy? Discuss any obstacles or hardships you encountered throughout the day. How can you reframe these negative experiences positively? What did you learn from these moments? How did you grow? Even if yesterday felt like a crummy day, write about it as if it was actually a really great day. This isn’t asking you to suppress the bad. Rather, consider choosing a different perspective when possible. For instance, maybe standing in line at the grocery store for what felt like an eternity or hitting all those red lights were really opportunities to pause and breathe. What happened during this day that you’re grateful for?

Why It Works: This ties back to #1 and #2: gratitude. Our lives are the sums of stories that we tell ourselves. And in manifestation, you attract what you put out in the world. So if you believe that you’ve had bad day after bad day after bad day, you know what you’ll attract? More bad days. But if you shift your perspective and choose to view these days as positive opportunities and experiences that you feel grateful for, you know what’ll happen then? You’ll receive more positive opportunities and wonderful experiences to feel grateful for. You don’t have to suppress the bad stuff. Rather, consider all the ways these “bad” things helped you to grow.

Journal Prompt: Your Highest and Most Authentic Self

Envision your highest and most authentic self. This is the real you—the greatest and most loving version of you. What is your highest and most authentic self like? How do you make other people feel? How do you move about your day? Are you energetic or calm? How do you speak? How do you walk? What’s your aura like when you walk into a room? What kinds of activities do you do? Do you move fast or slow? What types of clothes do you wear that make you feel good? If you’d like, you may envision a typical day in your life, and imagine how your highest self would react to the various ups and downs of your day.

Why It Works: This ties back in with visualization. It helps you get clear on what you want and who you want to be. I also have found that having a picture of my highest self has served me in my daily life as I’ve dealt with various interactions, made important decisions, and chosen how to spend my day. Whenever I’m unsure about something, I can ask, “What would my highest and most authentic self do in this situation?” Your highest self is the person living your dream life, so by making the same decisions that this version of you would make, you’re choosing the path that leads directly to your dreams (and becoming the person you dream of being).

    Journal Prompt: Celebrate You

What are your favorite things about yourself? What are your talents? In what ways are you an awesome friend? What makes you a good employee and/or manager? What makes you a good partner? List some of your superpowers. This is the day to celebrate you. Compliment yourself. Write about the compliments other people give you. And accept those compliments! If you get stuck, write down some positive affirmations. Affirm your worthiness! If you need some help coming up with affirmations, you can download my free ebook, 400 Powerful Affirmations Designed to Uplift, Inspire, and Empower Your Highest Self.

Why It Works: When you believe in yourself, the rest of the world will have no choice but to believe in you, too. You deserve to be loved, and you deserve to be celebrated. You. Are. Enough. Accepting compliments is hard for many of us, so it’s important to start practicing now! Why? Because when someone compliments you and you deny their words, you’re showing the universe that you don’t really believe in yourself—that you don’t really want this positivity in your life. But when you stand tall and own your worthiness, you’re showing the universe that you are deserving of every kind word and more. That opens you up to receiving more kindness, more generosity, and more positivity and goodness. Start celebrating yourself today; it will take you further than you can ever imagine. (And also, you’re worth it!)

    Journal Prompt: Envision Your Success

What would I do today if I knew I wouldn’t fail? List out all of the things you would do today if you knew undoubtedly that you would succeed. As you write, visualize your success. Imagine how this will feel and write out these feelings. Don’t limit yourself, and don’t hold back. Remember that you cannot fail!

Why It Works: More visualization, but this time, it’s a little closer, as these are all the things that you would do today if you knew you couldn’t fail. As I said earlier, you don’t need to figure out the how when it comes to manifesting. The universe will always guide you to the next step when the time is right, and you’ll always know that it’s right by the way it feels. Notice how you feel as you write. Do any of these fearless steps feel really good? One of my all-time favorite quotes is by Jack Canfield: “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” Our fears sometimes prevent us from taking the next step, but if you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you do?

    Journal Prompt: Letting Go

In what areas of my life are there things I can let go of in order to make room for new opportunities and exciting possibilities? What things am I justifying keeping, and why? When you let go of a job, person, belief, or another aspect of your life that may be holding you back, it’s easy to see what you’ll lose but hard to see what you might gain. Focus on the possibilities and experiences you might gain by letting go of the things that are holding you back.

Why It Works: In order to allow new people, experiences, opportunities, and resources into our lives, we need to make space for them. Sometimes, there are people, experiences, or things that once served our growth, but now they no longer contribute to our total wellbeing. Identifying these things is the first step. Letting go is the next, often more difficult step. I’ve let go of friendships, jobs, and even entire cities during my journey, and while it was never easy, it opened up space for new incredible people and experiences to enter my life. It isn’t always easy, but when you know in your heart that it’s the right choice, it’s always worth it.
