    Getting Started With Manifestation Books

When I first started learning about manifestation and the Law of Attraction, I remember devouring every single bit of information I could get my hands on.

I saved manifestation podcasts and listened to them on my morning runs, reveling in every new secret I learned.

I combed the deepest corners of Google, inhaling every new piece of information I could find like it was oxygen.

And I ordered book after book on the Law of Attraction, ending up with a pile next to my desk that grew quicker than I could even read them.

So you could say, I got a little excited.

But you know what? I’m grateful for that excitement. I’m grateful for the hours spent each day learning about manifestation and putting all of these newfound lessons and techniques into practice.

    You know why?

Because it absolutely, unequivocally changed my life for the better.

For one, I wouldn’t be writing this to you right now if I hadn’t gone all in on manifestation. If I hadn’t taken those initial steps, I don’t think I ever would’ve gained the confidence and self-belief to decide I was worthy of my dreams.

Since those early months of learning about the Law of Attraction, I’ve manifested incredible experiences into my life, most of them far beyond what I had ever envisioned for myself. Some of the things I’ve manifested have been almost exactly what I visualized.

And the rest? Well, most of the time, it turns out even better than I hoped it would.

And it truly comes down to this: I believed in myself enough to decide I wanted more from my life, and then I listened to my intuition and took inspired action to make it happen.

Because books played such a pivotal role in my journey, I wanted to share some of the best manifestation books I’ve read over the past several years. All of these books are unique in their own way, but each one brilliantly discusses manifestation, personal growth, and how to develop the courage and confidence to create the life of your dreams.

Below, I’ve listed 10 of the best books for manifestation, but since that’s not nearly enough, I’ve added a bonus list with even more books at the bottom of this post.

Check out these inspiring books and be prepared to become a manifesting pro in no time.

    Super Attractor

Gabrielle Bernstein is a household name in the manifestation space, and for good reason. She’s the #1 New York Times best-selling author of The Universe Has Your Back and has written multiple bestselling books. What makes Super Attractor so special is that it’s essentially a complete how-to book on manifestation, outlining all of the essential methods for manifesting a life even greater than you can imagine.

What I love about Bernstein’s writing is that she writes like your loving, supportive friend, and above all, she encourages fun, relaxation, joy, and feeling good. This is the book that removes difficulty and struggle from manifestation and shows you how fun it can be to create the life of your dreams.

For even more support in your manifestation journey, be sure to check out her Super Attractor Affirmation Cards and Super Attractor Journal as well!

    Manifest Your Destiny

I’d wholeheartedly recommend any of Wayne Dyer’s books to support you in your spiritual and personal growth journey, but if I had to choose one specifically for manifestation, it’d have to be Manifest Your Destiny: The Nine Spiritual Principles for Getting Everything You Want.

I don’t know if anything I write here can really do this book justice. Manifest Your Destiny teaches manifestation through the art of meditation and explores the nine spiritual principles for overcoming the “I can’t do that,” mentality so you can begin creating the life of your dreams. This is an extraordinary book that will help you to become your highest and most authentic self as you learn how to manifest a life beyond your wildest dreams.

    Ask and It Is Given

First, I encourage you to go into this powerful book with an open mind and an open heart. If you don’t know anything about Esther Hicks and Abraham Hicks, I’d also encourage you to do a little research before reading this book. I know some people become preoccupied with the question of whether or not it’s all “real.” My take? It doesn’t really matter. Why? Because every single word in this book, whether it comes from Esther or Abraham or something else entirely, is meant to serve and support your ultimate well-being.

Ask and It Is Given is all about showing you how you have the power to create the beautiful life of your dreams, and it gives more practical guidance and easily accessible practices that you can use to raise your vibration than I’ve found anywhere else. At the heart of this book, it’s all about teaching you to accept the joy, love, peace, and happiness that you deserve. And personally, I can’t think of anything more beautiful.

    The Power of Now

The Power of Now isn’t marketed as a manifestation book, but I’d argue that the concepts and ideas Eckhart Tolle presents in his acclaimed book are vital if you want to begin manifesting anything into your experience.

While visualization of the future is a powerful tool in manifestation, there’s arguably nothing more powerful than the power you hold in this present moment. In each and every moment, we choose the energy we put out into the world, and by offering positive vibrations in this present moment, we attract more positive vibrations to come our way. But living in the present moment isn’t easy for most of us, which is why I love Eckhart Tolle’s book for manifestation. It takes you on a powerful journey of spiritual and personal growth and teaches you how to connect with yourself and live in this moment right now.

    You Can Heal Your Life

As a positive affirmation devotee, I’m a big fan of Louise Hay, who is known for her powerful affirmations and her positive words. You Can Heal Your Life is all about helping you to discover and cultivate unconditional self-love and self-worth. It gently guides you to take accountability for your own life and understand that everything that you put out into the world is what you receive.

I’ll admit, this can be either a positive thing or triggering for some depending on your willingness to take ownership of the events in your life. But if you’re willing to embrace ownership of your life’s story, you’ll see it as a beautiful opportunity to start creating the incredible life you’ve always desired.

    The Magic of Manifesting

What I love most about The Magic of Manifesting is that it acts like a practical handbook that you can continually come back to as you walk forward in your journey of manifestation. Ryuu Shinohara’s book discusses both the scientific and spiritual basis of manifestation and gives you 15 practical techniques you can start using today to manifest your best life.

There isn’t any fluff here; Shinohara’s book is full of powerful practices and accessible explanations and ideas that explain not only what to do, but why these techniques work. This book is for anyone who wants to learn more about manifestation while gaining some valuable practices you can start utilizing today.

    Becoming Supernatural

Dr. Joe Dispenza’s Becoming Supernatural is a bit different than most of the other books on this list. It’s based in science and uses research in neuroscience, epigenetics, psychoneuroimmunology, neurocardiology, electromagnetism, and quantum physics to show the extraordinary potential of the human mind. This is a step-by-step guide that shows you how to create the extraordinary new life you’re capable of living.

If you’ve ever listened to Dr. Joe speak, you know there’s always an excitement and buzz underlying his spoken words. That same buzz is present in his written words, too, and it’ll leave you both captivated and enthusiastic about discovering your own supernatural potential.

    Infinite Possibilities

The underlying thesis in Infinite Possibilities is exactly what the title says: you are filled with infinite possibilities, and you have the power to create your own future and to live a life of extraordinary happiness. Mike Dooley says his mission in this book is to show you how powerful you are, how far you can reach, and how much you deserve, and I can personally attest that it won’t take long as you’re reading this book before you begin to believe that’s true.

I love the way Dooley inspires and encourages, and I especially love his assertion that your dreams aren’t yours by accident; they’re what’s meant to be. Start believing you deserve it, and you can create anything you can dream of (and more).

    Dear Universe

Sarah Prout’s Dear Universe: 200 Mini-Meditations for Instant Manifestation is packed with powerful practices and guidance that you can start incorporating into your life today. Prout pinpoints one of the biggest hurdles that stops us from manifesting our dreams–fear–and dedicates 100 mini-meditations to rising above fear so you can open yourself up and move closer towards your dreams. She dedicates the other 100 mini-meditations to embracing love so you can start feeling the positive emotions of your desired manifestation today.

What I love about this book is that it acts like your own personal companion that supports you on your journey, no matter how you’re feeling. Each mini-meditation is dedicated to a specific emotion, such as anger or uncertainty. So if you’re feeling a certain emotion, you can flip to that page in the book and follow the guidance on the page.

    The Secret

Finally, I feel like it’d be remiss of me to create a list of the best manifestation books without including The Secret. It certainly wasn’t the first manifestation book, but it was the one that got the world’s attention, for good reason. There’s something about the way Rhonda Byrne presents the information in this book that makes it feel like it’s the truth you’ve been waiting for your entire life. If you’re a beginning manifestor, I think this is the perfect gateway to learning more about the Law of Attraction and beginning to unlock your manifestation superpowers today. (This is the one that got me started, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since!)

How To Tap Into Your Intuition (The Ultimate Guide)

In this article, learn how to tap into your intuition, plus discover what your intuition should feel like, how your intuition relates to manifestation, and what to do if you don’t like what your intuition is telling you.

    What Is Your Intuition?

In many ways, your intuition is the least glamorous thing about you. It isn’t showy. It doesn’t like to be the center of attention. It’s so subtle, in fact, that many people question whether theirs works.

Right away, I’m here to tell you that you do have one, and it does work. You’ve probably even encountered it recently.

We all possess a deep inner knowing softly whispering inside of us—we just don’t always listen to it because our cognitive minds are so busy worrying, stressing, second-guessing, developing worst-case scenarios, and overthinking.

The second your intuition nudges you to do something out of the norm, your logical brain says, “Hold up, but what about all these 5,000 things that can go wrong?”

And sometimes, you actually hear your intuition loud and clear, but you don’t really want to listen to it.

    • Your intuition may tell you it’s time to break up with your partner, but you’re terrified of change and don’t want to cause another person pain.
    • Your intuition may tell you not to accept that seemingly perfect job with the great pay, but how could you turn down that money?
    • Or your intuition may tell you that you need some more time to yourself before you dive into another relationship, but you really hate being alone.

If you want to strengthen your relationship with your intuition, there are some key practices you can start doing today.

    In This Article

How To Tap Into Your Intuition

Below, find six practices to help you tap into your intuition, plus a few additional exercises you can try. Consistently following these practices will strengthen your connection with your intuition and help you tap into this deep inner knowing with ease.

    Quiet Your Mind

The first step to take to start connecting with your intuition? Listen.

You can’t hear what your inner voice is trying to tell you if you’re constantly immersed in noise.

The quickest and most profound way to start connecting with your intuition is to let silence be a normal part of your life.

If you have a daily meditation practice already, you may already be benefitting from these regular encounters with silence and stillness.

And if you don’t have a meditation practice, that’s okay. I know meditation may seem overwhelming at first. This is partially due to the myth that meditation requires you to have no thoughts. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about meditation and why many people believe meditation isn’t for them.

But if you listen to just about any meditation teacher, they’ll tell you the same thing: meditation is not about clearing your mind of thoughts. If it was, I’m not sure any of us, not even the most advanced meditators, would ever succeed. The last thing we want to do is suppress or evade our own thoughts.

At its heart, meditation (especially practices rooted in mindfulness) is about non-judgmental observation, conscious awareness, and gently rooting yourself in the present moment. It’s a chance to step away from the external noise and come home to yourself for a little while.

And this is where your intuition shines: in the quiet places where you can simply be.

The paradox of using meditation to connect with your intuition is that you’re not actively going to try to connect with your intuition during your meditation. If you sit in silence and try to force something to come forward, you’re likely going to put excess pressure on yourself; in turn, this often causes frustration and anxiety.

The key is patience. Sit in stillness for ten minutes today. Then, sit in stillness for ten minutes tomorrow. Day after day, keep sitting in stillness for ten minutes at a time. Don’t try to force anything. It will come on its own. All of the mental clutter will start to clear up, and your intuition will come forward.

    Practice Mindfulness

One of the biggest barriers to connecting with your intuition is being anywhere but where you are right now.

What do I mean by this?

As you go about your day, it’s easy to get lost in thoughts about the past or future. You might find yourself replaying yesterday’s events or worrying about the days ahead. When this happens, your mind becomes so busy with troublesome thoughts, you lose your connection with that quiet voice within.

Mindfulness is the key to returning to this moment right now and getting in touch with your inner knowing.

First, let’s take a step back and talk about mindfulness itself. What is it, and why is it so important?

Mindfulness is non-judgmental, conscious awareness in the present moment. This means being aware of what’s happening within and around you in this moment. How does your body feel? Where do your thoughts stray? Are you experiencing any anxiety or tension? What can you perceive with your five senses?

The key here is not to judge anything you notice. Don’t label any of it as right or wrong. Just notice.

So why is mindfulness important when it comes to connecting to your intuition?

Mindfulness allows you to become aware of what’s happening within and around you in this present moment.

Remember, your intuition isn’t flashy. Every once in a while, it might scream at you, like when it knows you might be walking into a dangerous situation. But for most of the daily stuff, it tends to remain soft and quiet, like a soft whisper deep inside you.

You can’t always expect it to speak up louder; instead, you must consciously step away from all the mental chatter so you can hear it.

Mindfulness quiets the noise of your worries, fears, judgments, and daily stresses so you can hear what’s really going on in the deepest parts within.

If mindfulness is new for you, you can check out some helpful mindfulness exercises you can try to start practicing mindfulness throughout your day.

Truly, I can’t emphasize enough how important mindfulness is in connecting to your intuition. It may feel like this is a slow process, but I promise, if you consistently practice mindfulness techniques for a month straight, you’ll begin noticing shifts within yourself.

This is the bridge to connecting to that quiet voice within: being consciously aware of what’s happening inside you in this present moment, without judging what’s going on. Simply listening. Breathing. Being.

    Cultivate Calm

I’ll keep this one short: clarity comes with calm.

People don’t usually make good choices when they’re feeling stressed, worried, angry, or depressed.

Connecting with your intuition requires you to first do the two things I mentioned above: quiet your mind and practice mindfulness. Mindfulness will allow you to recognize that you’re feeling “low” or “off.” By recognizing your own low mental state, you can choose not to make any big decisions at that moment.

Conversely, it will help to bring clarity when you’re experiencing a more positive mental state. This is when the magic happens. When you’re experiencing a sense of calm and inner peace, that’s when you’re in greatest alignment with your inner knowing.

Start consciously working with your intuition during moments when you’re feeling really good. I started with walks around my neighborhood. During these walks, I always felt calm, grounded, and connected to my higher self. So I started asking my intuition to guide me when I should turn and where I should walk next.

Most of the time, nothing really happened. And that’s completely okay. Sometimes, when you work with your intuition, nothing will actually seem to happen around you. This is normal. Just because nothing happens around you doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.

Keep practicing in these moments. This is preparing you to trust your intuition for those bigger moments when you do feel that soft nudge within.

Practice Picking Up Signals From People Around You

Think of the people you spend the most time with: family, friends, coworkers. How often have you taken one look at a person you’re close with and known that something was wrong?

What about those times when it’s less obvious? Someone may seem fine on the surface, but you can just tell that something’s off. They seem distant. Distracted. Heavy.

Start approaching your daily interactions with the intention to pick up on any underlying feelings that may be going on beneath the surface. When you begin your interaction, ask yourself, “What do I feel from this person right now?” See if you can name that underlying feeling.

As you continue to practice this, it will become easier to tap into that feeling within. In time, this will expand into other areas of your life. Not only will you be able to connect with your intuition when interacting with other people, but you’ll feel those subtle hunches when it comes to your own life path.

    Take Days Off

This directly correlates with what we’ve discussed in some of the different points above: make space for stillness, step back from the noise, and give your soul a chance to take a deep sigh of relief.

If you’re currently immersed in a cycle of feeling stressed and busy all the time, you’re going to have a difficult time connecting with your inner knowing. See if you can plan days throughout your month where you don’t have anything on the to-do list. Do things that make you feel calm and at ease.

Again, you don’t have to actively try to make your intuition come forward. Let it come to you.

And to add to this, spending time in nature and taking social media breaks will also help you escape all the outer noise and connect to your inner self. You’ll often hear about these practices when it comes to self-care and taking care of your mental and emotional health, but they have the added benefit of also helping you develop and strengthen your intuition.

    Connect With Your Body

You’ll experience your intuition in goosebumps, shivers, chest pressure, and inner aches. You’ll also experience it in more subtle feelings and hunches.

The better connected you are with your body, the more you’ll be able to pick up on subtle changes happening inside you.

Yoga and meditation are two practices you can use to connect with your body. You can also practice simply standing with your two feet on the ground, closing your eyes, and connecting with how you feel.

Connection also comes just by paying attention.

Take moments to pause throughout the day and ask, “How does my body feel right now?” Answer without judgment. The more you practice this, the easier it will become to pick up on any understated shifts that happen within.

    A Few More Practices

In the long-term, mindfulness and meditation are the two practices that will have the most profound effect on how you connect with your intuition. However, if you want to start working with your intuition more closely right away, there are plenty of other meaningful practices you can try today. Here are a few examples:

    • One of my favorite things to do is go into a store that has crystals and gemstones and let my intuition guide me to pick out a new gemstone for myself. (The small ones are often as inexpensive as $1, so this doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.) Once I pick out my stone, I’ll take it home and read about the spiritual meaning of that gemstone. Then, I’ll think about why my intuition may have led me to that stone. Is it because of the spiritual meaning, or does it simply have a feeling of positive energy? There’s no right or wrong answer here. It’s just a fun and easy practice for developing your intuition, plus you get a new crystal or gemstone from it. You also don’t exclusively have to do this practice with crystals. Pick something you like that makes you feel good, like flowers, books, jewelry, or candles.
    • Working with oracle cards is also a great way to develop your intuition. Pick a card, and before you consult a guidebook, let your inner knowing interpret the meaning of the card.
    • You might also start keeping a dream journal. Try to write what you remember about your dream shortly after you wake up. (The sooner, the better.) Consider if your intuition was trying to tell you something within your dream. You might also see if your intuition can help you uncover any deeper meanings or symbolism in the dream itself.
    • A pendulum is another great tool for developing your intuition. It’s most often used to gain insight and clarity when there are areas of uncertainty in your life. Anytime you have a question and are looking for help or advice, you can use a pendulum to receive guidance from a higher power.

What Does Your Intuition Feel Like?

Your intuition can be so subtle, it’s often difficult to describe what it feels like.

For a situation in which you might be putting yourself in danger, the feeling will be louder and more obvious. Your heart will race, your palms will get sweaty, and that voice within will yell at you to turn around and find safety. Sometimes, your breath may quicken, and you’ll get shivers down your spine.

When you encounter these experiences, don’t question these feelings. And especially don’t question whether you’re overreacting. Err on the side of caution. Trust what you feel.

Most situations in life aren’t like this, though–especially when it comes to intuitive nudges you have about your own life path. Your intuition usually doesn’t speak in shouts but in whispers.

And often, it’s less of a feeling and more of a knowing. You’ll experience a sudden understanding: clarity that just comes to you, often unexpectedly. If something is off (maybe with a relationship or a business deal), there will be a part of you that just knows.

Your intuition comes from your heart’s consciousness, which isn’t always as easy to grasp as the logic and reason of your mind’s consciousness. Thus, you may try to talk your way out of whatever it is that you’re feeling. You may keep trying to reason with yourself and follow your logical mind.

And it’s okay; most of us have done this at some point in our lives. We’ve been taught to trust logic and reason over intuition and inner knowing. And that’s what can make following your intuition feel kind of scary—because it requires you to alter your mindset. It’s less about thinking your way forward and more about feeling your way forward.

Here are a few of the ways in which you might experience your intuition:

    • An unexplainable “knowing”
    • A feeling of “rightness”
    • Clarity
    • Ease
    • Hunches
    • A quiet voice within
    • A recurring thought
    • Goosebumps
    • Shivers
    • Racing heart
    • An inner ache
    • Pressure in your chest
    • Physical discomfort
    • Emotional discomfort

    Your Intuition & Manifestation

So what role does your intuition play in manifestation?

First, let’s consider how manifestation works:

    • You set an intention based on the authentic, deeply felt dreams that have been placed in your heart.
    • You communicate this intention to the Universe. Your positive vibrations are one way of communicating this intention, as by vibrating at the frequency of your desires, you express that you’re ready to receive more of this good-feeling thing.
    • The Universe works behind the scenes to set everything in motion. It communicates back to you in the form of messages, synchronicities, and most importantly, your own intuition. Being in the vibration of what you desire allows you to receive these signs and inner nudges with clarity. (In contrast, being in a state of stress, worry, and anger will cause you to miss these signs and feelings.)
    • Then, you take inspired action based on the communication the Universe has given you. This leads you on your path forward.

The art of manifestation is the art of learning how to communicate with the Universe. You communicate every single day through your vibration. The Universe communicates back to you through your own intuition.

So if you’ve set an intention, that means signs, synchronicities, and inner nudges are going to come. Your job now is to listen and take inspired action. Once you do this, you’ll receive your next nudge forward. As you follow this path, you’ll be in divine flow with the Universe, and your manifestations will start to come alive.

I know this might sound like a long process, but I promise, it’s not. Depending on the specific dream, some things could come in months, weeks, days—even hours.

The key is not to worry about when it will come. Release the timeline and continue to focus on how you feel in the present moment. As you step forward on the path, the path will continue to reveal itself, one step at a time.

What If You Don’t Like What Your Intuition Is Telling You?

So let’s say you’re trying to manifest something, but your intuition is telling you to do the very opposite of what you think you should be doing. Often, when you want something, it’s because you imagine that outcome will make you feel a certain way.

    • You may want to manifest a perfect partner, even though your intuition is telling you to take some time to be single, because you imagine the partner will make you feel loved.
    • You dream of getting a prestigious position for a certain well-known company, even though your inner knowing says it’s not as perfect as it seems, because you imagine you’ll finally feel successful and worthy of your parents’ approval.
    • Or you want to manifest money to live a more luxurious lifestyle, because you imagine this will make you feel like you’ve finally made it.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting these things for yourself. Nothing. It only becomes a potentially negative thing when it goes against your intuition.

This is when I urge you to step back and re-evaluate your overall goal. Take some time to pause. You can meditate, journal, or take a day off to spend time in nature. Set the intention to understand your desires and what you really want. Allow yourself to shift your vision.

Instead of going after that perfect partner, job, or lifestyle, set an intention to encompass the feelings of being loved, successful, worthy, beautiful, and empowered (or however you imagine this external thing will make you feel) right now in this present moment.

Focus on those feelings, and allow your intuition to guide you forward on your path. Trust that your inner knowing always has the right answers, and believe that the Universe will always take you where you want to go.

It may mean that your perfect partner isn’t supposed to come into your life right now, but you find that you feel so loved anyway, you’re okay waiting.

Even if what your intuition is telling you doesn’t make sense today, it will with time.

If you’re feeling lost, instead of searching for external answers to guide your path, sit in the quiet of your own mind for a little while.

You’ll often find you already have everything you need to take the next step forward.

    What Is Manifestation?

Manifestation is, in its purest form, creation. Even before you knew you had the ability to manifest, you were unconsciously manifesting every single day.

Have you ever felt a deep inner knowing guiding you in a certain direction, even though it didn’t make sense?

Did you then follow your intuition and take inspired action?

Do you believe you are worthy and deserving of a life filled with true happiness and love?

All of these experiences—following your intuition, taking aligned action, and believing in your worthiness—are aspects that contribute to manifestation.

Your beliefs shape your life. When you believe you are worthy of true abundance (not just financial prosperity but an abundance of joy, love, peace, freedom, passion, creativity, and all good things), you’re more likely to walk through your life vibrating at the frequency of true abundance.

    You feel abundant.

You see abundance all around you.

And in time, you begin to experience abundance in all of its shapes, forms, textures, and hues.

When you step back and look at your life, you’ll see that your outer world is a reflection of your inner world.

And this is the heart of manifestation: to visualize your dreams and desires and to vibrate at the frequency of your desires as if they’ve already come true. To consciously cultivate a beautiful inner world so that it spills into your outer world and creates something extraordinary.

When you first start, it may feel like playing pretend, and that’s okay. Because in time, you’ll realize that this isn’t pretend. Your magic is real.

You have the ability to manifest the life you want—the life that feels real and true to you.

    What Is Self-Care?

Self-care refers to the combination of practices you engage in to serve and support your physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being. When you stick to a sleep schedule, brush your teeth, schedule medical checkups, eat healthy foods, and take walks around your neighborhood, you’re practicing daily self-care.

But self-care also goes a little deeper. Self-care means making space in your life for silence. Connecting with the innermost you. Asking your soul what it needs. And then, giving yourself that thing.

And at an even deeper level, it means noticing the trending direction of your thoughts. Are you speaking to yourself with kindness? Do you constantly criticize yourself? Are your inner dialogues loving and compassionate or condescending and judgmental toward yourself?

And when you notice that you’re being hard on yourself, you then have the option to choose differently—to be a little gentler, a little kinder. A little more understanding. (This is directly tied to mindfulness.)

Self-care is a deeply personal practice. What looks and feels like self-care to you might not align with someone else’s definition of self-care. And that’s okay. What’s important is defining what self-care means to you—and then, prioritizing it not as an option but as an essential aspect of your health and well-being.

To help you with this, I’ve created a 30-day self-care challenge filled with practices that you can personalize to fit your own needs.

In many ways, this is also a self-love challenge. This challenge is designed to help cultivate a mindset of deep care, kindness, and compassion toward yourself. (Because if you’re anything like me, you’re likely your own harshest critic.)

As you begin your self-care challenge, I want you to remember that this is your challenge. So if there’s anything on this list that doesn’t resonate with what feels right to you, feel free to change it to something that feels better.

You’re also empowered to define what each activity means to you. Below, I provide you with suggestions for how to approach each self-care practice, but if you have different ideas, definitely go ahead and do what feels best to you.

Don’t worry so much about being perfect. Rather, focus on what feels good, right, and aligned.

Below, you’ll find some suggestions for how to approach each of the activities in this challenge. But remember, this is your self-care challenge. So if you have a different idea for how you want to proceed, or if you want to replace one of the challenge tasks altogether, go for it!

You can use a notebook, journal, or even your preferred notes app on your phone. Write down 3 things you’re grateful for. Then, for the rest of the challenge, keep writing 3 things you feel grateful for every day. If you need help, check out my list of 500 things to be grateful for today.

Write Down 10 Things You Love About Yourself

This one can also be done in a notebook, journal, or digital document. Pick 10 things you really love about yourself and write them down. These can be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual qualities—anything you want. If you’d like, you can add a “why” statement to each list item, diving deeper into why each of these things make you so incredible and unique.

Recite 1 Positive Affirmation Every Hour

A positive affirmation is an uplifting statement designed to boost your confidence and self-belief. I have thousands of positive affirmations across this website if you need help. Recite at least one positive affirmation to yourself every hour today. If it helps, you can set phone reminders or write these affirmations on post-it notes.

Set Phone Reminders With Uplifting Words

Set phone notifications to go off throughout the day filled with words to uplift, inspire, and motivate you. You can be your own biggest cheerleader here, reminding yourself that you’ve got this, you’re worthy, you’re incredible, you’re more than enough—whatever you most need to hear throughout the day. Fill the screen with positive, loving words. You can also write affirmations or your favorite quotes here if you’d like.

Compliment Yourself & Others Throughout The Day

How often do you tell yourself what a good job you’re doing? How often do you spend time simply being proud of yourself? How often do you look in the mirror and smile into your own eyes? Compliment yourself throughout the day. Then, spread these good vibes and compliment the people you interact with. Make someone’s day today.

Journal & Reflect On The Past Year

In the busyness of daily life, we can often forget to spend time reflecting on how far we’ve come. Take some time today to reflect. Journal your thoughts and feelings. If you encountered difficult moments, make sure to honor your own resilience and strength. Acknowledge both the good and the bad. Be kind, honest, and compassionate.

Do Something That Makes You Happy

This one’s pretty broad. Simply do something that makes you happy.

Does buying yourself a special coffee make you happy? Does reading a good book or watching your favorite movie make you happy? Does time spent in nature make you happy?

You’re not limited to doing just one thing. If possible, you can do one thing that makes you happy in the morning, one things that makes you happy in the afternoon, and one thing that makes you happy in the evening.

    Follow A Guided Meditation

If you already meditate, this one should be pretty straightforward. Don’t meditate? That’s okay! I personally use the Insight Timer app for guided meditations. There, you’ll find thousands of free meditations you can listen to. See if you can find one that appeals to you. You don’t have to sit in a special posture or try to clear your mind of thoughts. Just sit comfortably, close your eyes, and listen.

    Express Your Creativity

Draw. Paint. Write. Play with chalk. Make paper snowflakes. Color in an adult coloring book. Or a children’s one. Whatever feels good to you.

    Spend Time In Nature

This can be as simple as going out for a walk around your neighborhood. You might also go out on a hike or spend some time near a lake or the ocean. Whatever you do, turn off your phone and unplug for a bit. Notice the moment using all of your senses. Inhale peace. Exhale anything that doesn’t serve your mind, body, and soul.

Cook A Special Meal For Yourself

You can cook your favorite breakfast, lunch, or dinner. (Or all three.) You might also try cooking one of your favorite recipes from childhood. And if cooking sounds more like self-torture than self-care, order out from your favorite takeout spot.

Practice Yoga Or Do Some Light Stretching

If you don’t feel super comfortable with yoga but are willing to try, there are tons of great yoga routines for beginners on YouTube. You can also find a light stretching routine to try out!

Write A Letter To Your Younger Self

I’d definitely recommend doing this practice when you have some uninterrupted time to yourself. You can grab a notebook, lined paper, stationary, or open up a blank digital document. Visualize yourself at a certain age, whether it’s when you were 8, 11, 16—whatever feels right to you. What do you want to say to this version of you? Is there something you think they really needed to hear? Write these things down. There’s a good chance your present-day self needs to hear these things, too.

Read A Book You Genuinely Enjoy

Do you have a favorite feel-good fiction book? Is non-fiction more your thing? Is there a new book you’ve been dying to read? Make time for some reading today. I’d recommend reading at least for an hour, but this is completely up to you.

Spoil Yourself – You Choose How

What does spoiling yourself mean to you? For some, spoiling themselves means buying a special coffee or meal. For others, spoiling themselves looks like candles and bubble baths. Try to find at least one way to spoil yourself today. (But it’s completely okay to pick more than one thing—encouraged, even.)

    Try An Artistic Endeavor

You don’t have to be a poet to write poetry, and you don’t have to be a painter to paint. Even if you’re a creative person already, see if you can try something you wouldn’t normally do. Don’t judge your work. Just have fun with it.

Make A Music Playlist Of Old & New Favorites

See if you can remember your favorite songs from childhood. Add in some of your current favorites. Fill your ears with sounds you love.

    Write Down 10 Self-Promises

A self-promise is a commitment you’re willing to make to yourself about your life and your future. For help here, you can check out my article, 100 Wholehearted Promises To Make To Yourself Today.

Write Down & Release 1 Limiting Belief

A limiting belief is a deep-seated belief that holds you back from realizing your limitless potential and living the life that you know you’re truly meant to live. It’s the thing that’s preventing you from moving forward: your fears, your worries, your doubts about your own potential.

Take some time to identify what beliefs you carry that aren’t serving you. Write at least one down. Then, create a new, reframed belief. So if your limiting belief is that you don’t have what it takes to succeed in your chosen career path, you can create a new belief that you’re more than capable of succeeding and thriving.

For more guidance, I’ve created a digital workbook for releasing limiting beliefs to help you begin releasing your old, limiting beliefs (and creating new, empowering beliefs) today.

Unplug For At Least 2 Hours

What makes you feel good when you’re not on your phone or devices? Do that thing.

Brainstorm Ways You Can Destress Your Life

What are the biggest stressors in your life? Write them down. Then, write down some ways you can remove some of your daily stress.

Ideas include going to bed on a set schedule, meditating first thing in the morning, meal prepping at the beginning of the week, organizing your office, decluttering your email inbox, and anything else that might remove a little bit of the daily stress you often experience.

Write A Letter To Your Future Self

Choose a specific age in the future: one year from now, five years from now, ten years from now—whatever feels best to you. Sit down and write a letter to this version of you.

You can write about what’s happening in your life right now and share some funny or heartfelt stories that will make your future self smile. You can write about your hopes and dreams. You can write your favorite quotes and/or something you heard recently that’s especially meaningful to you.

When you’re done, place your letter in an envelope, address it to yourself with a date on the front, and stash it somewhere for safekeeping.

Write Down Your Goals For The Next Year

I’d recommend writing down five to ten big and small goals. Then, pick a goal and write an action plan for it. What’s the next step you need to take to achieve this goal? You can write next steps and action plans for as many goals as you’d like.

Treat Yourself – You Choose How

This one’s just like the spoil yourself day—you get to define what treating yourself means to you. Maybe it means a spa day. Maybe it means treating yourself to a couple hours of uninterrupted you time. Maybe it’s buying your favorite dessert from a bakery or going to the bookstore and picking out some books. Whatever it is, just make sure it feels special and good to you.

Make Space For Fun & Play

What’s fun to you? What feels like play to you? Engage in activities that make you feel good. Play video games. Have a crafting day. Build a blanket fort. Create your own Lego masterpiece. Go to the beach. Dance like no one’s watching. Connect with your inner child and let yourself come alive in pure, unadulterated joy.

Connect To The Earth & Nature

My favorite way to connect to the earth is to stand with my bare feet against the dirt and close my eyes. You can also do this while watching the night sky. Gardening is also a profound way to connect to the earth. What can you do today to connect to the trees, sun, stars, ocean, wind, and all parts of nature?

Compliment Yourself When You Look In The Mirror

Every time you look in the mirror, look yourself in the eyes and say either internally or aloud something really kind to yourself. Offer yourself sincere compliments. Speak with loving kindness.

    Declutter Your Social Media Accounts

Go through your most-used social media accounts and unfollow/unfriend anyone who may cause you to feel negative energy within. Keep the ones that uplift your spirit, inspire your dreams, and/or make you laugh. If they feel like positive energy, keep them on your list. If they feel like negative energy, send them love and gently distance yourself from them.

Try 1 Thing You’ve Never Done Before

It’s easy to get in a rut in your daily life, so this is a chance to do something new. It doesn’t have to be a really big thing like skydiving or traveling to a new country. Maybe there’s a restaurant you’ve never tried or a dish you’ve never cooked. Maybe there’s a crafting activity that’s been hanging out on your Pinterest boards for a while that you’ve been meaning to get to. Maybe there’s a park you’ve never been to that you can go visit. This can be as big or as small of an activity as you want.

Repeat Your Favorite Activity From The Challenge

This is the equivalent of the free space in bingo. What activity did you really love doing over the past 30 days? Do it again! You can also repeat multiple activities if you want. For instance, you can recite positive affirmations once per hour throughout the day while also making time in the evening to read a good book.

    How To Use Daily Affirmations

(You can skip straight to the affirmations by clicking here.)

I started using daily affirmations a few years ago as a way to focus my mindset on positive thinking in the morning. At the time, I was working full-time in a corporate office job, and every morning, I found myself dreading going to work.

I didn’t like going into the office. I wasn’t excited about the work I did. And each morning, I just knew that the next eight to ten hours weren’t going to be fun

Once I began meditating regularly, though, my mindset slowly started to shift. I realized it wasn’t the external circumstances at my job that were making me miserable; it was my own negative thinking.

Because I only focused on the bad, that’s all I ever saw: bad stuff piling up, one thing after another.

Daily affirmations became a way for me to alter my attitude and mindset. I began by affirming my unconditional worthiness. I affirmed that I had the ability to accomplish all my biggest goals. That I was strong and powerful. That I could do hard things.

Eventually, I began incorporating Law of Attraction affirmations into my daily routine, and I even used affirmations while I was working out.

Soon, something began to shift for me. The more I used these daily affirmations, the more they became imprinted in my subconscious mind. I wasn’t just saying these feel-good words for the sake of it—I truly believed them.

And all around me, the world slowly began to change.

Instead of limits, I saw possibilities. Opportunities opened up for me. The universe responded to my positive vibration with even more positivity.

And I learned that when I embrace my own infinite worthiness, the universe will provide me with experiences and opportunities that are truly worthy of me.

Because positive affirmations have made such a profound difference in my life, it’s been important to me to share the affirmations I use most with my readers and followers. There are thousands of affirmations posted across this website, and I also post daily affirmations on my Instagram stories every morning.

So how exactly should you use daily affirmations to change your life? Read on for tips to help you get started.

    Daily Affirmations: Best Practices

    • First and foremost, when you’re reciting your daily affirmations, don’t just say the words; truly feel them deep within. Affirmations should always begin in the body, even before you’ve recited the words aloud or in your head. So if you want to affirm that you are worthy, begin with feeling a deep, undeniable sense of worthiness within.
    • After you recite your daily affirmations in the morning, don’t let it end there. Continue to repeat your affirmations throughout the day. Carry these positive feelings with you as you complete your daily tasks.
    • Write down some of the affirmations that resonate most with you on post-it notes and stick them in places you’ll see throughout the day (for instance, around your computer monitor, on your bathroom mirror, or even inside your wallet or purse). You can also set phone notifications with positive affirmations written on the screen to go off intermittently. Every time you see one of these notifications, recite the words either internally or aloud, feeling the positive emotions of the words inside your body.
    • Practice mirror work regularly. Stand in front of the mirror, look yourself in the eyes, and affirm the thing you need to hear most in that moment. (That you’re beautiful. That you’re worthy. That you are always, always enough.)

Below, you’ll find 30 of my favorite daily affirmations to repeat each morning. These affirmations are designed to help you step into your undeniable worthiness, approach the day with a positive mindset, and nudge you in the direction of your truest, most heartfelt dreams and desires.

As you repeat these affirmations, feel the power of the words deep within. Remember that it’s not enough just to say that you are worthy; allow yourself to truly feel your inherent worthiness in every cell of your being.

How To Use A Manifestation Journal Template

No two manifestation journals are the same.

Some journals are solely dedicated to a single manifestation method, like the 55×5 Manifestation Method or 369 Method, while others offer a broader range of journal prompts and activities.

If you want to create your own manifesting journal but aren’t sure where to start, a manifestation journal template is a great option. A template offers you a repeatable model you can use in your manifesting practice. They’re also versatile, so you can write on the template itself, or you can use the template as a guide as you write in your own blank notebook or journal.

Below, you’ll find an easy-to-use manifestation journal template that you can download today to guide you in your manifesting practice. This template is completely free for your personal use. You’re also free to share it on your own website or social media—I just ask that you link back to my website/social media accounts as well.

I also don’t require you to subscribe to my newsletter to get the template (I know that can get annoying). But I definitely do encourage you to subscribe, as I send a free printable affirmation calendar to my subscribers every month.

To learn more about how to use this manifestation journal template, I’ve provided in-depth directions below.

Finally, if you want to expand your manifestation practice, I definitely encourage you to check out 30 Perfect Days, a digital manifestation journal available in my online shop. There’s a lot to love in this journal: 30 unique scripting prompts, space for daily gratitude, and so much more.

And the best part? This digital journal comes with editable text fields so you can choose to either type directly into the journal on your computer or cell phone or print and hand write your responses. Get started today.

How To Fill Out Your Manifestation Journal Template

Click here to skip straight to the template.

    Scripting

The first page of the manifestation journal template is dedicated entirely to scripting. Scripting is the practice of writing about your dreams and desires in story-like form, as if you already possess everything you want to manifest.

For instance, let’s say you want to manifest your dream job. In your script, you could write about a day in this dream job as if you already have it right now. You might also write as your future self, looking back on the first day you got this job and what an amazing experience it was.

Past or present tense are good; just don’t write in future tense. As you write, it’s not “One day, I will have this job.” It’s, “I am so happy and grateful to have this job right now.”

If you don’t have time to write an entire script, that’s totally fine. You can skip this page and go straight to the second page if you’d like. See if you can incorporate scripting into your journaling practice on days you have an extra 10 to 15 minutes to spare.

And if you want to learn more about scripting, you can get a free scripting template here. And don’t forget to check out the digital manifestation journal in my online shop, which includes 30 unique scripting prompts to help you manifest your deepest and most heartfelt dreams. If you want to live the life of your dreams, express gratitude for the life you have right now.

When you express sincere appreciation for all that you have, you vibrate at the frequency of love and abundance. Instead of focusing on lack and scarcity, you’re viewing your life from a perspective of wealth and prosperity. This opens you up to receiving even more incredible people, resources, things, and experiences to be grateful for.

You might think of it like this: every time you express gratitude for something you have, you’re telling the Universe, “More of this please.”

Gratitude and love are the highest vibrations, and by expressing sincere gratitude each day, you’re opening yourself up to receiving more beautiful gifts in your life to love and appreciate.

Your manifestation journal template includes space to express daily gratitude and appreciation. In your journal, write down one to three things you feel grateful for each day. As you write down these things, be sure to truly feel the full depth of your gratitude within every cell of your being.

    Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are encouraging, uplifting statements designed to boost your confidence and self-belief. They’re instant vibration lifters and can become one of your most helpful tools in your manifestation toolkit.

The key to using affirmations is to know that the affirmation doesn’t actually start with the words you’re affirming—it starts with the feeling you possess deep within.

So when you say, “I am worthy,” it’s not simply about saying that you’re worthy; it’s about feeling worthy at your very core.

In your journal, write down one to three uplifting affirmations that align with the positive emotions of what you want to manifest. For instance, if you want to manifest success, write down affirmations about how you’re already successful and how you’re absolutely worthy of infinite success. Feel these words deep within.

If you need help with coming up with affirmations that feel good to you, I have thousands of affirmations throughout this site that you can explore here.

And here are some manifestation and Law of Attraction affirmations to help you get started:

One Small Step I Will Take Today

Each day, you have the opportunity to take small steps toward manifesting your dreams.

The most important steps are ones that are inspired by your deep inner knowing—they should feel good and right to you, even if they might scare you a little. This means taking inspired action based on what your intuition is telling you.

Remember that every small step you take makes a big difference in your overall journey.

If your small step is simply sending an email, buying a book, or registering for a class, it may not feel like a big thing at the time. But it’s actually a huge step forward in your manifestation journey.

Your small step can even be something as simple as writing down a list of goals or creating a vision board. Don’t put pressure on yourself to do “really big” things all the time. Remember that if you take one small step each day for the next month, you’ll be 30 steps ahead of where you are today.

In your manifestation journal template, you’ll find space to write down one small step you’ll take to manifest your dreams. Write down this small step with courage, clarity, and confidence. (And also remember, when you’re unsure where to go next, sometimes the best step is to pause, sink into silence, and surrender. Allow the Universe to give you what you need.)

How Will I Align With My Highest Self Today?

Your highest self is the part of you that is untouched by external circumstances. This is the real and true you: the part of you that is eternal and infinite. This part of you is also free of fears, worries, and limiting beliefs.

When you step back and close your eyes to imagine your highest self, who do you see? How does your highest self look? How do they talk to other people? How do they interact with the world? Do they choose faith over fear? Do they believe they are worthy and deserving of manifesting their dreams?

Each day, you have the opportunity to align with your highest self. Here are some examples of how you might do this:

    • Meet your highest self in meditation
    • Embody your highest self in how you interact with friends and strangers throughout the day
    • Set a morning routine that aligns with how your highest self would start the day
    • Recite positive affirmations that align with how your highest self would think and feel
    • Practice being in the present moment, as your highest self would be (as opposed to worrying about the past or future)
    • Give love and compassion freely, as your highest self would.

Want to connect deeper with your highest self? Check out the digital workbook for connecting with your higher self here.

    Other Notes

Here, you have the opportunity to write down anything else that feels right to you today. You might set a daily intention, write down one small thing you’ll manifest today (i.e. you might manifest a joyful moment or a good conversation with a friend), or write about your daily miracles. Whatever you write here, just make sure it feels good and aligns with your desired manifestations.

    Embracing New Beginnings

Click here to skip straight to the quotes.

There’s nothing quite like the magic of a new beginning.

New beginnings are times of possibilities. They’re filled with limitless potential and hope. They’re a time for something more. More than you can imagine. More than you can possibly envision for yourself. More than you ever thought possible.

A new beginning can come in the form of a promotion or career change. It might be moving to a new city—or even a new country. It might be starting a new relationship. It might also be venturing out on your own for a while, seeking to form a deeper relationship with your own mind, body, and soul.

And sometimes, a new beginning is as simple as waking up to a new day. A day you’ve never met before. A day where anything is possible. A day where miracles are present all around you, if you choose to open your eyes and look for them.

Are new beginnings always easy? Definitely not. As the Law of Polarity states, everything has an opposite, and the existence of these opposites is vital in helping us to gain a deeper perspective of our own lives. So what’s the opposite of a new beginning?

    An ending.

And it’s very likely that if you’re approaching a new beginning, you’re also encountering some kind of ending. Some endings are joyous and worth celebrating. If you’re graduating college and beginning your career, this is likely an exciting time.

Other endings, though, can be especially difficult. The end of a relationship. Leaving a job that you’ve really loved. Saying goodbye to a loved one. Letting go of something meaningful in your life.

As you encounter new beginnings and difficult endings, I hope you have the courage to move forward, even when it feels hard. I hope you know that even if you loved the path behind you, the path ahead is just as beautiful and filled with endless treasures for you to explore. I hope you embrace each day. Each moment. Each breath that flows in and out of your lungs.

And I hope you follow your heart, no matter what. We often talk about our mind’s wisdom and consciousness. But your heart holds deep wisdom inside it as well.

So trust what you feel. Trust the gentle nudges from within. Trust your deep inner voice guiding you forward.

Whatever new beginning you’re stepping into, I hope it brings you endless love, grace, beauty, joy, and abundance. Because you are worthy of all these wonderful things.

    Always.

    New Year’s Resolutions

“I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. They never work. Haven’t you heard that most people quit their resolutions by the end of January?”

Have you ever heard anyone say these words? Or maybe you’ve said them yourself. To be honest, I’m sure a version of my younger self once echoed these familiar words that I’d heard countless times before.

Now though, I’m not such a big fan of them.

Sure, maybe many people do quit their resolutions early on in the year.

    But you?

    You’re not everyone.

And what other people do with their own resolutions has absolutely nothing to do with you.

And furthermore – sometimes, letting go of a resolution you made weeks or months ago doesn’t automatically equal failure.

For instance, you might realize that your chosen resolution doesn’t actually support your highest good. This happened to me a couple years ago, when I decided for my resolution that I was going to run my second full marathon. At the time, it seemed like a worthwhile goal for the year ahead.

But as I started making training plans, I started to feel like my heart wasn’t truly in it.

I realized that the time I’d have to dedicate to running would take away from hiking, cycling, yoga, and the other physical activities I enjoyed. I had only set this resolution because it felt like something I should do.

But it didn’t actually align with what was in my heart.

So I let go of that resolution and instead chose the path that felt right to me at the time.

And I have zero regrets about that decision.

Another argument people often have against New Year’s resolutions is that we should be able to make resolutions any time of the year. And I one hundred percent agree with this statement.

But why can’t we do both?

I think it’s fair to let yourself make and change your resolutions throughout the year while also embracing the new year as a time for new beginnings.

Finally, it’s important to define what a New Year’s resolution really is. It doesn’t always have to be a quantifiable goal.

Here are some New Year’s resolutions that you can’t quantify, but they all support your overall well-being:

    • To make more time for self-care
    • To be more compassionate with yourself
    • To make space for fun and play
    • To embrace your limitless creativity
    • To spend more time with the people you love
    • To open yourself up to opportunities for more self-love.

So as you think about how you want to step into the new year, know that you don’t have to make some really big proclamation about all the monumental life changes you’re going to make. Sometimes, simply stating that you’re going to make more time for self-care or for creative activities is more than enough to support you on your life journey.

Below, you’ll find 25 new year reflection questions that will help you approach the new year with a vision for who you want to be and what you want to accomplish. The first ten questions are focused on reflecting on this past year, and the rest of the questions are all about setting goals and intentions for this upcoming year.

And remember, while this post is geared toward the new year, I’d definitely encourage you to come back to these questions as often as you want throughout the year to see how your answers change. (And know that if your resolutions do change, that’s okay – as long as they feel true and right to you.)

How To Use This Morning Routine Checklist

Every morning, you have a new opportunity for a fresh start. Each day is a blank slate. A brand new beginning.

A chance to create something new.

And the best way to set a positive foundation for the day ahead?

Create a morning routine that supports your mind, body, and soul.

A morning routine helps you to cultivate feelings of peace, calm, joy, and love within. It also gives you the chance to create a mindset of strength, resilience, and stability, so no matter what external circumstances you encounter, you’ll be able to stay true to yourself and your path.

To help you create a morning routine that truly serves and supports your mind, body, and spirit, I’ve created a free morning routine checklist for manifesting your dreams and desires. This weekly checklist includes 11 activities you can easily incorporate into your morning routine to lift your vibration and start the day on a positive note.

And if you don’t have a lot of time, that’s okay! Many of these activities can be combined, and most take just a couple minutes at most to complete. Some, like expressing gratitude, you can do while showering, eating breakfast, and getting ready for your day.

Use this morning routine checklist to help you stay on track of your goals. You don’t have to do every single item on this list every day, but try to see if you can incorporate at least five items into your morning each day.

The very best thing you can do for yourself every morning is to embody a vibration of deep love, abundance, and gratitude for this life you get to live.

Allow yourself to believe deep within that you already have it all. You’re already successful. You’re already abundant. You’re already loved. You’re already everything you can imagine and so much more.

The small amount of time you spend on each of these practices will have long-lasting positive effects on your inner and outer worlds.

Below, I explain each item on the checklist in a little more detail so you know exactly how to incorporate it into your morning routine.

    Morning Routine Checklist For Manifestation

    Express Gratitude

Most of the items on this list aren’t things you have to do every single morning. However, if I had to pick one single thing that you should do daily for manifestation, it’s expressing gratitude.

Why? Gratitude and love are the highest vibrations. When you express gratitude, you’re essentially telling the Universe, “More of this please.”

So if you show appreciation for the money you already possess, you open yourself up to receiving more. If you show appreciation for your health, you allow more good health to flow to you. And if you express thankfulness for all the love you get to experience in your life, you open the door to receiving even more love, both from outside sources and from within.

Luckily, expressing gratitude doesn’t have to be a complicated practice. As you get ready in the morning, you can simply choose to focus on the aspects of your life that you love and appreciate. You might show your sincere thankfulness for this brand new day as soon as you wake up. You can also have a dedicated gratitude journal in which you write three things you’re grateful for each morning.

    Recite Affirmations

Positive affirmations are empowering statements rooted in love, joy, and confidence. They’re designed to uplift and encourage while boosting your self-belief and supporting your mental and emotional well-being. Positive affirmations can also lift your vibration and help you get into receiving mode.

You can use positive affirmations in your manifestation morning routine in the same ways you express gratitude: repeat affirmations throughout your morning and write a few down you want to focus on for the day. To help you remember, you might leave post-its in visible spots throughout your house with uplifting affirmations written on them.

    Journal

There are several ways you can journal for manifestation. My personal favorite is scripting. Scripting is the practice of writing about your dreams and desires in story-like form, as if you already possess everything you want to manifest.

So if you want to manifest love, you might write about a day in your dream life with the love of your life. You could also write about the first time you meet your future partner or even your first date. The key is to write as though everything you want is happening right now in this present moment. (And also be sure to allow yourself to feel all of the positive emotions that come with it.)

Don’t have a lot of time in the morning for a long journal entry? That’s okay. You can combine several practices on this list for a quick five-minute journaling session. For instance, you could write down three things you’re grateful for, three positive affirmations, your daily intentions, and one small step you’ll take today to manifest your dreams. (I’ve made this easy for you with a free manifestation journal template that you can download and start using today.)

    Meditate

Meditation itself is a powerful addition to your morning routine, whether it’s a mindfulness meditation or a dedicated manifestation meditation. A mindfulness meditation will allow you to ground yourself to the present moment and cultivate a sense of calm, peace, and stability. For a dedicated manifestation meditation, you can include visualization, affirmations, gratitude, releasing limiting beliefs, and letting go.

    Visualize

Visualization can easily be incorporated into your meditation practice or tied in with your vision board. You don’t necessarily have to do a long visualization practice every day, but it can be helpful to practice visualization a few times a week.

You might visualize a day in your dream life, allowing yourself to experience it using all of your senses. You can also visualize specific scenarios, like getting the job of your dreams or an incredible first date. As you visualize, remember to feel all of the positive emotions associated with your visualization, and carry those good vibes with you as you step into your day.

    Set Daily Intentions

Daily intentions are kind of like mini daily goals. Your intentions should align with your ultimate, overarching dream of who you want to be and how you want your life to look. You can set your intentions based on your specific circumstances of the day, or you can choose a more universal intention to focus on.

Here are a few examples of daily intentions to help you get started:

    • Today, I will be present in every moment today.
    • I will be my most authentic self in all moments.
    • I will accomplish everything I focus on.
    • I will accept all opportunities that come my way.
    • In all moments, I will find things to be grateful for.
    • I will be the highest version of myself.
    • I will spread kindness in my words and actions.

    Vision Board

A vision board is a collection of words and/or images that represent your highest self living your ideal life. Common components of a vision board might include your career, relationships, home, car, health, wealth, spirituality, lifestyle, hobbies, self-care activities, and anything that represents the life of your dreams. You can create a vision board on poster board, printer paper, a bulletin board, or even on your phone.

Take a few minutes in the morning to look at your vision board. Align with the positive emotions you associate with the images and words: love, freedom, joy, peace, abundance. Allow these feelings to permeate your cells so they’ll stay with you throughout your day.

Here are a couple posts to help you get started making your own powerful vision board:

    Raise Vibration

Raising your vibration means to align yourself with the emotions of already having what you desire. Love, gratitude, joy, peace, and freedom are all positive emotions you can carry with you throughout the day. All of the practices on this morning routine checklist will help you with raising your vibration, but you might also include some additional practices that you know make you feel good. These practices could include reading a chapter of a book, listening to music or a podcast, or simply sitting down for breakfast with your family.

    Laugh

If you have an extra minute or two, watch a funny YouTube video or find silly memes to send to your best friend. Start the day on a positive note!

    Talk To The Universe

This is one of the most commonly overlooked aspects of manifestation: the simple act of talking to the Universe. Some people call it prayer, but you can also simply call it communicating.

How can the Universe help you today? Do you need a little extra strength? Could you use some reassurance that you’re on the right path? Do you need a sign of alignment or gentle nudge in the right direction?

Instead of keeping these thoughts and feelings within, tell the Universe what you need. You might be surprised at how quickly the Universe responds through signs, symbols, and loving messages.

Choose One Small Step To Take Today

This is another one of those simple yet overlooked practices that can make a profound difference in receiving your desired manifestations. An important part of manifestation is taking inspired action. This is action you take based on your intuition. (It should feel good and right deep within.)

Each day, you have the opportunity to take small steps toward your dreams. A small step could be creating a 30-day plan for one of your goals. It could mean sending an email to someone you hope will agree to be your mentor. It could mean dressing up in clothes that make you feel good and taking pictures for your dating profile.

This small step could truly be anything, as long as it comes from a place that feels right to you.

The all-or-nothing mentality can be tempting, but it can also quickly lead to burnout. Small steps aren’t as seductive, but just imagine this: if you take one small step a day for the next 30 days, in a month, you’ll be 30 steps ahead of where you are now.

    Final Notes

At the top of the morning routine checklist, you’ll notice a section dedicated to choosing a word of the week. Here, choose a word that aligns with how you want to do, feel, or be throughout the week. Choose your word on the first morning of the new week, and don’t try to force anything. See if the word comes naturally to you.

Here are a few examples for words you might choose:

    • Trust
    • Allow
    • Receive
    • Align
    • Peace
    • Love
    • Abundance
    • Transformation
    • Power
    • Strength
    • Create

    Responding to Stress

How often do you feel stressed in your daily life? Stress might arise from work pressure, personal relationships, financial hardship, and even the pressure you put on yourself to achieve. You might even feel it so regularly, you don’t actually notice it as being somehow wrong—it just feels like a normal part of your everyday world.

You can’t always make stressful situations go away, but trying to ignore the fact that you feel stressed is never the answer. If you know a little about chakras and energy healing, you know that trying to ignore heavy feelings doesn’t make them disappear; rather, this stagnant energy remains inside you. In time, this trapped energy will begin to manifest into even heavier emotions.

For instance, when you try to bury your stress, it might manifest into anger, or it could cause you to lose your courage and confidence.

So how can you respond to stress so that it doesn’t feel so overwhelming?

First, remember that in all moments, you are in control of your own energy. You have power over how you feel. This means that you can feel stress without giving it the power to control your thoughts and emotions.

I find it helpful to acknowledge my stress while also recognizing that I am not my stress. It may be something I feel, but it doesn’t define me.

In these moments, I often take a step back, practice a breathing exercise, and say, “I recognize that I feel stressed right now, and that’s okay. I’m going to be extra compassionate with myself right now.”

Journaling about my anxiety and stress has also been super helpful, as it allows me to probe the source of these feelings with non-judgmental awareness.

Finally, positive affirmations have been instrumental in helping me to remain calm, no matter what’s happening in the world around me.

What makes positive affirmations for stress helpful is that they allow you to feel your difficult and heavy emotions while reminding you that you have the power to rise above emotions that don’t serve or support your total well-being.

They also remind you of your deep courage, strength, and resilience. You can also use positive affirmations to cultivate inner peace and serenity, no matter what’s going on in the world around you.

Below, you’ll find 44 positive affirmations for stress, worry, and anxiety. Use these affirmations to take back control of your thoughts and emotions any time stress begins to feel overwhelming.
